Dear Diary,
Interesting lessons at Sawston once again with delicious meals which bring energy through the day!
The jet lag has disappeared now and I was able to enjoy the activities without getting tired. Three lessons at Sawston with science, history and drama. I had learnt about animals species and habitats in science lesson and for the drama lesson we were directed to perform a drama tomorrow so I am gonna go to make communications with my new group-mates!
It was raining but it went sunny after lunch. My group's mentor thought of a game called 'habitats' and I needed to say the habitat of the animal which I picked in the pile of paper. I now know a lot more about some rare animals which I didn't know before and it made me interested in animals.
Finally, there was a quiet activity, that was journal writing. My group-mates wrote their journals and shared with our mentor and I wrote for the Ying Wa Primary School's English Department website! I am so glad to be one of the reporters!
Soon after dinner, we played a game of finding information cards and crowns in the Fitzwilliam College. It was so exciting although we only got half an hour to play. So time was very precious during the game. I enjoyed during the mystery where I couldn't find one of them which was hidden in the trees! Of course I was sweaty and tired!
So...time to sleep! 😴😴😴
Cheers,
Lachlan Lai
It was the second day of school. There was the science class where we started to learn about animals habitats, and the history and the drama lessons where we learnt about the evacuees in the WWII (We needed to do a play about them).
Then we had a game of Pokemonarchs (similar to Scavenger Hunt). We had to find all the pictures of the kings and queens. Our team won the 3rd! But we had to walk all over the college to find all of them!
Today we had lessons like yesterday. We learnt a lot about WWII. Next, we spent the afternoon at Fitzwilliam College.
However, the most exciting part of the day was after dinner. We had a game called Pokemonarchy-go. As the name suggests, it is similar to Pokemon-go. We had to find the cards with crowns or British monarchs in Fitzwilliam College. We thought it would be extremely difficult because we had to find all 19 monarchs and plenty of crowns in half an hour.
But actually we had enough time to find most of the cards. At first we thought we must be the champion team, but two of the teams managed to find nearly all of them and did better than us. At last, we only got the third but this is still a very unforgettable experience.
This was a remarkably exciting day. Tomorrow we are going to visit Imperial War Museum Duxford. Hope it will be as fun!
