Hong Kong School  Drama Festival

Awards Home
Together with Speech, our Drama curriculum forms two key pillars to support the dynamics of our English Language curriculum. With the maturity of our English drama teams in recent years, the Hong Kong Schools Drama Festival becomes a major platform to us where our boys' talent in acting can be tested and recognized. We are happy to see our students and teachers receiving these honours in the past:

Story Synopsis:
Hansel and Gretel were captured by a wicked old witch and kept in a tiny room after having a taste of her gingerbread house. With Hansel’s clever tricks, the siblings managed to stay alive until one morning when the characters from different fairy tales abruptly entered their little space and created yet more chaos than ever: the evil queen who was looking for Snow White with a bag of poisonous apples, Goldilocks the hungry girl who had eaten the bears’ porridge, the princes who were looking for their ideal princesses, and Little Red Riding Hood who was escaping from the Big Bad Wolf…
Would these interferences put a halt to Hansel and Gretel’s miserable life, or simply expand their company in the stranded place?

Story Synopsis:
The time is now! Technology has progressed into the age of the “helping hand”. The “domestic robot” has reached the homes of the “Average Joe” to help ease their lives. But how will Artificial Intelligence affect our ability to do things for ourselves? We look into the lives of three brothers, two of whom rely heavily on A.D.A.M. (Advanced & Developed Artificial Machine) to make it through their daily routines.
From a story originally written by a group of enthused and talented P.5 & 6 boys from Ying Wa Primary School’s 2013-14 cohort, join our drama team on a journey in what we see will happen to us as human beings sooner rather than later.

People have lost their curiosity and interest in it. Professor Marvelous Mouse seems to become the circus’ new hope. However, Master Joe, the owner, decides to sell the circus to a hunter! Moreover, the animals have been fed up being caged or tamed for so long. They were born to be in the nature but not a puppet being manipulated or put on a show doing tricks that they loathe doing or find them silly to act. All the animals in the circus have to run away for the sake of survival! Where should they go? How could they escape?
