My Dream Job         SECOND PLACE
Nathan Yau 2E

I want to be a soccer player as my dream job. It is because I love to play soccer and I want to play soccer as good as Messi, who is a wonderful soccer player. Messi is my role model and is admirable in personality. He plays soccer skillfully and he has got many awards, for example, FIFA World Cup Golden Ball, La Liga Top Goalsoccer and FIFA World Player of the Year. This shows that Messi is so fantastic!

What can I do to be a marvelous soccer player? I need to build up a good foundation for my skills. Now, I am a member of soccer pre-school team. I need to practice more and pay more attention to the coach’s instructions to keep up my skills. Also, I can join more training and soccer matches in soccer school. I need to be serious and persistent in all my practice.

I hope that my dream can come true.

I thought I wanted to be an engineer when I was still a kid. After having percussion lessons for a year, it totally changes my mind. I enjoy percussion very much ao my dream job is being a musician now.

I want to be a musician. There are two reasons behind. First, percussion is my hobby. The rhythms of the share drum make me excited and the melody of the Marimba is very pleasant for listening. If I become a musician. I can work with these amazing music all the time. On the other hand, I want to share the music with others through practice and concerts.

If I become a musician, I will compose more beautiful pieces, and conduct in the percussion band and teach other how to perform well. I will also hold a lot of concerts to share great music with the whole world.

I will try hard and let my dream come true.

My hobby is reading. I read books every day since I was a little boy.

I read books about fairy tales and funny stories. Some of the characters in the story books are very cool and funny and always make me laugh.

The wonderful thing about reading is that I can learn things from the books For example; I do not have to go into the jungle to learn about the tiger.

It is indeed a good hobby.

My favourite hobbies are playing badminton, running and playing table tennis. I have a good badminton coach. His name is Mr. Ng. I play for and a half hours in every week. I am good at it.

I also like running. I can run very fast. It is because I often have running exercise during the badminton training lessons. Besides, I enjoy running with my classmates in PE lessons.

I like playing table tennis too. I always play with my dad after I have finished my homework. I feel lots of fan in playing table tennis.

I love playing sports in leisure time.

I want to be an architect when I grow up. It is because I can design special buildings and re-build the apartments.

I plan to build the longest bridge in the world. It called Marina Bridge. It is 45,000,000 meters. It is from Florida to Mexico. People only spend 2 hours for the journey. It is time saving.

I plan to build the tallest building in the world. It is called Honig Commerce Centre. It is 1157 meters. There are 288 stores. From 12/F to 21/F is car park. From 231/F to 218/F is office. From 220/F to 288/F is hotel. There is an observation deck on 219/F. People can see beautiful scenery from there.

Hotel sky swimming pool is on 220/F and the base is made of crystal. People can see from the top when they are swimming. It is very excited! We can enjoy shopping in HCC mall.

You can see the map below.

A Letter to Mrs Lam        MERIT
Nathan Sing 2B

Dear Mrs. Lam,

Happy Chinese New Year! All the best to you and your family. How about your holiday?

Let me share my amazing visits to two carnivals, Tung Wah Charity Canival and the AIA Great European Carnival. Both carnival are marvelous and awesome. For Tung Wah Charity Carnival. We bought the Unlimited Play Pass that we could play all amusement rides. I did try 14 rounds of various amusement rides. But for the AIA Great European Carnival, it did not provide Unlimited Play option so that we needed to buy token for each amusement rides. Although the amusement rides were more exciting, I could only play 3 rounds because of the budget. Sigh!

I wonder if our Ying Wa Primary School I can hold a fund-raising carnival for the swimming pool too. I suggest we could provide unlimited play option to let the visitors to play all the amusement rides more freely. Then I can try more than 100 rounds this time. Yeah!

Hope you can add me into the committees of this Ying Wa Carnival!

Yours,
Nathan (2B-20)

My dream job is an architect. I want to construct the modern and extraordinary building for people.

I want to be an architect because I love to create impossible things and design special buildings in different shapes and colour. I am inspired by Thomas Healtherwick, the famous designer. He is creative and innovative. He is not only n architect, but also an inventor. I love his works. They are marvelous!

Sometimes, I imagine I were sitting on Thomas’ spun chair and brainstorming my new creation of building. I hope my dream will come true.
