My Dream         SECOND PLACE
Karlos Ching 1B

I want to be a robotic engineer when I grow up because I love robots. Robots are very interesting, they can transform into different forms, for example, vehicle, submarine and helicopter. Robots have the power, special functions and intelligence that one single human being doesn’t have. If we have the control over robots, we have their special power!

Nowadays, robots are being used for different purposes, for example as waiters and cook in restaurants, companion for elderly and production line machinery. I think there are still many area that we can make use of robots.

When I grow up, I want to invent robots that can help police because policemen risk their lives in their daily dangerous operation, for example, arresting armed villains. I wish I can invent flexible robots and non-lethal weapons with high accuracy that will not kill but only hurt the offenders.

If I want my dream to come true, I know I have to study hard to get into the Engineering faculty in University. After graduation, I will apply permission from the police force to help them with robots invention. I wish my dream will come true!

My Favourite Song        THIRD PLACE
Gus Hon 1E

My favourite song is Wasted Year Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden is a popular band from the United Kingdom.

One day, I saw my daddy listening to something with his earphones. I was curious and told him that I wanted to listen too. He said of course and so I put on the earphones. It was a song, a very noisy one. I did not like it at the time. After a few days, I decided to give it another try. It was better this time. And it got better and better each time I listened to it. It is now my favourite English song.

I like the song because it has a catchy tune, beautiful vocals and some amazing guitar riffs. Another reason is that it is a meaningful song. It is that you should have no regrets in life and live it to the fullest. I would recommend it to everyone who loves music.

My Favourite Animal       MERIT
Marcus Lok 1A

Have you ever heard of bottlenose dolphins? It is my favourite animal. Bottlenose dolphins are marine mammals. They have a short thick beak, as their name suggested and a curved mouth as if they are smiling all the time.

Bottlenose dolphins are social and friendly. They like to travel in pods. They are super simmers too! Some scientists said that dolphins are one of the most intelligent animals. They are good at team work and communication.

One day, I wish to meet the dolphins. I would ride on their back and glide through the deep wide ocean.

My Favourite Book         MERIT
Ocean Leung 1B

My favourite book is The Ninety-one-story Treehouse. It is about the adventures of three children, named Andy, Terry and Jill.

The treehouse is unique. You can find something different on each story for which are always out of my imagination! There is a spin-and-win prize wheel, for which the prize is……poke in the eye! And it has a whirlpool that can whirl your underpants off! I really find it very funny!

I like this book because it is very fascinating. If the treehouse was mine, I would have built one more story and made it as a game room. I want to steer the sandwich submarine to school and I would invite all the Ying Wa boys to my treehouse for party!

My Dream         MERIT
Marcel Tsim 1B

I want to be an engineer with my best friend, Owen, when I grow up. Engineers make fun and exciting things. I want to make a space bullet train that has got booster rockets and magnetic wheels with Owen. It is designed to take passengers to travel into space.

When I start the space train, the boosters blast off through different portals into space. It can fly past Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter and other planets. It can even pass through the Black Hole! We don’t need to worry about running out of fuel because at the back of the space train, there is a refueller for train refueling.

By making this special train, more people will be able to see the beautiful planets in space.

My Dream       MERIT
Ayden Wong 1C

When I grow up I want to be an inventor, because I can help the world, people and animals. If I am an Inventor I will invent something to make life more convenience, no matter for human and animals. I will invent filter machine for sea water. I must be really careful when I am testing my new invent in my lab. Because my machine is fast and safe to distill sea water into drinking water. My machine is cheap and easy to use for everyone. And this is my dream.

My Dream       MERIT
Duncan Chan 1E

When I grow up, I want to be a shark hero. Because I want to protect sharks. I think sharks are special because they are powerful animals and swim fast. Also they have razor sharp teeth and a big tail. Unfortunately, people often kill sharks for shark’s fin as yummy food and to make medicine. So, I want to invent a radar jacket to put on the shark’s body to help them detect any human who want to attack them, so they can escape.

Then I can make friends with the sharks because I can save their lives. And they will call me “SHARK HERO”!
