The Deep Sea Transformer    SECOND PLACE
Lucas Wong 2A

One day, when I was watching TV, an advertisement popped up on the screen. It was about a deep sea program. I signed up for it in seconds.

I was now in the submarine heading to the Mariana Trench. Suddenly, I saw a mysterious figure darted by. I searched around for a while and saw it again. It was pink and had a face on both the front and the rear. It was irregular in shape and was as big as a taxi. Also, it had spikes all over its body.

After further observations, I found out that it could shapeshift into anything it saw. I tried to capture it but it suddenly turned invisible. I switched on my infrared radar immediately and noticed that it was right behind me. I used a high-tech vacuum cleaner to suck it into a sturdy jar.

After I returned to the surface, I handed over the creature to the deep sea biologists. They told me that it was a new species and I named it “Deep Sea Transformer”.

I am very delighted to find a new species and I hope I could be a deep sea biologist when I grow up.

My Adventure on the Moon    THIRD PLACE
Ryan Lee 2E

On a sunny day, I was in my sturdy rocket, waiting for it to blast off as I heard the ginormous timer saying loudly “3…2…1…” My mission? To take interesting pictures of the moon.
Once I left the earth’s atmosphere, I started to hear strange sounds, getting noisier and noisier as I approached the moon. “What’s that sound?” I questioned myself.
When my rocket finally touched the moon’s surface, I immediately opened the door of my spaceship. BANG! My eardrums burs! There was a NASA moon probe breaking down! BZZK! BING! CRANG! “Oh! So that was why there were mysterious noises coming from the moon.” I thought, “I’d better fix it before it turns into a pile of metal!” I took a picture of it, sent the photo back to NASA and instantaneously got to work. I went back into my rocket and grabbed my emergency toolbox. BANG! ZRRR! NUTCH! TUL…TUK.. SQUEEZE! I spent several hours hammering, drilling and screwing. I was no expert at fixing things, but I knew I had to try. “As good as new!” I remarked happily although it was NOT as good as new.
After I fixed the moon probe, I took a few more pictures and headed back home.
      What a fantastic adventure!

Chinese New Year on the Moon    MERIT
Norris Chan 2B

I am a strong and clever astronaut. I am brave and creative. I love adventures, because they are exciting. I go to the Moon, because I want to find the Moon Rabbit. Since the year of rabbit is coming, I am interested to find out if the legend of Mid-Autumn Festival is real or not.
After landing on the Moon, I see a lonely rabbit. I feel surprised. I am delighted that the legend is real. The Moon Rabbit is upset, because it is lonely. I have an idea. Let me celebrate the Chinese New Year with the Moon Rabbit. We cook turnip cakes, write spring couplets and do cleaning.
On the day of Chinese New Year, we have Chinese New Year I’ve dinner on the Moon and watch firework display on Earth. I feel cheerful and glad. The Moon Rabbit is no longer lonely during Chinese New Year.

Blind Whale    MERIT
Jonathan Lo 2B

The sea covers 71 percent of the earth surface, yet only five percent has been explored. I am an explorer. I found one new species in the deep sea. It has ho eyes, but it has five legs and three huge fins. It looks like a dolphin. It has a pair of eagle wings but it cannot fly. It can camo flage. I call it “Blind Whale”. It sings around 67 Hz. The pitch is at a higher frequency than most of the whales. It lives in the greatest depth in the sea. It can adapt to the extreme environment, It feed on fish, walrus, seals and giant squids. It has two hearts, so it has extra powers. It’s two main powers are that it can be invisible when enemies come and it can be wide a wake for 24 hours. It is a solitary animal. It’s frequency is very high. It can detect it’s surrounding with brain waves.

The sea is a wonderful and mystery place!

Moon Fighting    MERIT
Wong Cheuk Him 2C

“Cheuk Cheuk! I have a mission for you.” Said Miss Fung. She is a secret NASA agent. It is a mission for you to go to the moon. I am so excited.

So, I got up the rocket with my friend, Jack. “Ten, nine, eight …” people countdown outside the rocket. I was very nervous and excited. Then, the rocket blasts into the sky.

After arriving the moon, we stepped out the rocket. We were floating on the moon. I enjoyed floating because it is so fun. Suddenly, I discovered a treasure. In the treasure. In the treasure, there were golden swords, diamonds, rainbow gem and an infinity stone. We picked up the golden sword and fight. The monster was too strong. It was able to reach the infinity stone. At this moment, Captain Marvel flew to wards the alien and punched it away.

At last, we and Captain Marvel got back to the rocket. Captain Marvel kept the infinity stone and we went back to Earth.

Black Dragon Squid    MERIT
Feiman Lam 2D

Last Christmas holiday, I went to the Philippines with my friends for a diving vacation. During our practice dives in Pacific water, We discovered a new species of marine animal. As it looked like a squid, we called it the “Black Dragon Squid”.

It looked like a squid, but in black while most of the squid were in orange. It was about the size of me, around one meter and it cannot camouflage. The squid has ten tentacles, eight of which were covered with suckers and glow fluorescent in the deep sea. The other two tentacles had no suckers, they had spikes at the end of the tentacles had no suckers, they had spikes at the end of the tentacles, which were used to catch prey. Black squids ate big fish and even each other if necessary. They ate their prey by using the very sharp teeth in their mouth.

The squids lived in rocky crevices in the ocean and moved in groups. So when they were out together, they were like a fluorescent ball. I was impressed by the sight.

Do you want to know more about the black dragon squid? I hope my introduction can make you like them!
