A Christmas Gift to My Grandfather SECOND PLACE

Today is Christmas Eve. Dad, Mum and I go to buy some Christmas gifts to celebrate this special festival in a shopping mall. I also want to buy a gift for my dearest grandfather, so I take some money from my piggy bank.
The shopping mall decorates with lots of ornaments. We all feel excited as there is an enormous Christmas tree in the center of the mall.
Heard from the news it will be very cold in coming days, so I am looking for a gift which can keep my grandfather warm. Do you know what I finally get? I buy an electric heating bag for him. It is blue with black spots in it. It is washable and rechargeable. I hope my grandfather will love it and he can feel my warmest heart too.

My daddy is fun and loving. He laughs like Santa Claus. He always surprises us with hugs, kisses, and treats. He cheers me up at hard times, too.
Daddy and I are best friends. We love sharing, working, playing, exercising and even bathing together! Daddy coaches me every day. Now I can play the violin, dribble two basketballs and run 2.5 kilometers! I am happy. I have yet to learn losing-well, though.
I love my Daddy very much! He makes me a better boy each day. I wouldn’t trade my dad for anything, not even for gazillions of lollipops!

A Magic Journey to Mars MERIT

It is such a long way to Mars! When I am drawing a rocket, the rocket suddenly becomes a real rocket! I am very excited so I go into the rocket and fly to Mars. I press I a button and the rocket drives itself.
Ten minutes later, I feel my rocket crashes to something. I look out the window and find that my rocket combines with another rocket and becomes an even bigger one. Suddenly, three aliens appear inside my rocket. One of the aliens has one huge eye and three feet. The other two aliens stick together. They have two tiny eyes and six feet with two humongous mouths. They tell me that they are going back to Mars so we go there together.
It takes us a whole year travelling from Earth to Mars. When we land on Mars, I see more aliens and strange buildings. Almost everything is covered with red dust. Suddenly, I see a dot heading to Mars. It is an asteroid! I tell all the aliens to go into the rocket and then we fly away. We chat in the rocket. Finally, we are back to Earth. We wave and say goodbye to each other. Before they go, they give me a trophy and say thanks for saving them. They take their rocket and fly back to Mars.

I’m six years old now, she is still taking care of me. She teachers me to be polite. Also she always reads storybooks and sing songs with me. I usually fall asleep on her arms. When I make mistakes, she doesn’t scold me. She reminds me how to do better next time.
Who is she? Actually, she is my wonderful mother who I love most.

3,2,1...Vroom! My space-taxi blasts off! I am now in space! I can see the Earth becoming smaller and smaller. I can see many stars shining brightly. The space is so beautiful! Oh! I can also see the China’s Chang’e-5 successfully lands on moon to collect samples.
Then it is my turn to land on Mars. However, my space-taxi lands on the biggest volcano of Mars. Danger! Danger! Help! Help! Suddenly an alien saves me! It flies and puts my space-taxi on a safe place. I say thank you and we become friends. We play hide-and-seek happily.

On Christmas eve, Little Goldfish said to Teeny Tiny “Tomorrow is Christmas, Santa Fish will give a gift to you”.
Reader, do you know who are Little Goldfish and Teeny Tiny? Little Goldfish’s name is Worm. Even though he is called Worm. He is a red fish. Teen Tiny is a tiny yellow goldfish and he is very naughty. Because he is so small, he is called Teeny Tiny. He is Little Goldfish’s friend. They travelled around the world and through time together. They had a lot of adventures. Teeny Tiny was happy and excited.
In the next day, Teeny Tiny woke up early. He swam to his sock and peeked inside. There were only an eraser and a letter. He opened the letter and read aloud.
Dear Teeny Tiny,
Do you know why I only gave you an eraser? That is because you are very naughty. You always get into deep trouble. I wish you could erase all the mistakes and bad behaviors you have made. This is not a normal eraser.
When you rub it, all your naughtiness will be gone.

Teeny Tiny was so disappointed that he crumbled the letter and then threw it. Just then Little Goldfish woke up and asked “Why did you throw the letter out the window?
Teeny Tiny shouted “I just want to! Santa gave me an eraser. What kind of Christmas gift is that!!! Santa Fish said it is not a normal eraser. It can help me to erase all the bad behaviors I have made.”
Little Goldfish said “Yes, but you just throw the letter. It is a bad behavior. Erase it.”
Teeny Tiny took out the eraser and said “Eraser, please help to correct my mistake.” The eraser began to glow and the letter from Santa Fish was back on the table. Teeny Tiny was so surprised. He said “Well, it really works!”
At this moment, little Goldfish said to Teeny Tiny “But you didn’t correct the mistake you made before. Now, correct all of them.”
“OK” said Teeny Tiny, “Eraser, please correct all the mistakes I have made before!” The eraser began to glow. They went back to all the places they have been to before. He said sorry to the moon because he used to call him dumbhead. He said sorry to the audience because he made noises during a concert.
Teeny Tiny went back to his house and said “I am now a good fish. I feel great to be polite and friendly. I changed my mind and I like my Christmas gift.”

A Christmas Gift to My Pet Dog, Piao MERIT

“Woof! Woof! Woof!” barked Piao. My pet dag Piao is brown and has big round eyes. He is a good and honest dog, most of the time. His tail is always wagging when I come back home from school. He runs in circles, barks loudly and gives me a big wet dog kiss.
We used to have a wonderful time together. We played happily and went for a walk at the park every Saturday. We gave lots of love to each other. Sadly, Piao passed away in April, 2020. I cried with my broken heart. I can still imagine hearing his loud barking till this day.
Now Christmas is coming soon. I wish there is a Greeting Mailbox, which can deliver Piao my Christmas gift-a bone, his favourite dog food with a message telling Piao that I miss him so much. “Piao is now playing and singing with Angels by the side of the Lord everywhere!” I pray with my heart deeply.
