My Dream Job SECOND PLACE
Ryan Woo 2E
My dream job is to become a racing car driver. When I was five, my parent gave me an outdoor pedal car as my birthday present. I had never seen anything so beautiful. I have fallen in love with cars ever since.
One my parents also took me to the racing cars museum in Macau. I was so thrilled to see so many beautiful cars in real. I even took a picture with Michael Schumacher’s portraits on the wall. He is my all time idol who is a seven-times Formula One World Champion. I love his dedication for his career and his strong willpower to win.
As a child my only ambition is to have fun. To me, nothing beats the feeling of driving a fancy sport car as fast as it can go and knowing that there’s no one who can drive it faster, though I can only have this feeling in my dream now, haha!
However, I am told by my parents that to be a good racing car driver I need to be super competitive and have a good team to win. At Ying Wa, we are taught to be competitive and co-operative as a team in every aspect of our school life. I hope I have the right potential for a successful racing car driver!

When I grow up, I want to be an astronaut. Astronauts travel in space. Space is massive and mysterious. There are so many stars and planets. Discovering them undoubtedly thrilling and fascinating.
In order for me to gain such ultimate experience, I’d love to be an astronaut when I grow up. I believe that some unknown creatures are waiting for me to pay them a visit. I am also very interested in finding out and learning their languages.
I understand that having my dream job is tremendously difficult as I will have to understand the science thoroughly and be fit and have a healthy lifestyle. Hopefully, my dream will come true.

When we passed by Central, I once asked my Mum and Dad what we could see if we were in the Big Wheel. Then, on the Eve of the Chinese New Year, Mum and Dad told me that they would bring me to visit Hong Kong Observation Wheel on the third day of the Chinese New Year! I felt so excited!
Dad bought a special ticket. This allowed our whole family to occupy one cabin. Moreover, that cabin’s floor was made of glass! Hence, we could see the ground when we were in the cabin. This was a bit scary at first. But later on, I had found it to be really fun and exciting to see the ground from the cabin and saw IFC, the Star Ferry and the AIA Great European Carnival all below us. What is more, we had timed the boarding time to be 7:55 pm so that we could see the famous 8 pm laser light show "A Symphony of Lights". Hong Kong’s night scene was really beautiful!
I called this Hong Kong Observation Wheel ‘The Hong Kong Eye’ and I had imagined that I was ‘The captain’ of this ‘Hong Kong Eye’. Hence, I stood up and put my hands on the window, imagining that I was the one driving the movement of the wheel. It really felt great this way! I think "The Hong Kong Eye" is even better than the "London Eye" and the "Singapore Flyer" and this was really unforgettable for me! What a special and great beginning for the Year of Great! Thank you Daddy and Mummy!

When I grow up, I want to be a Santa Claus – the most popular job in the world! I like Christmas because it is a day full of joy and love. Santa Claus can bring joyful to people in the world. If I am a Santa Claus, I can fly with my reindeer who pull my sleigh. Kids love me very much and they will sing “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town”, my famous song all day long. I will send presents including toys and candles to all of the well-behaved children in the world. The most important, I only need to work on Christmas.
To be a Santa Claus, I have to eat more food because I need to grow strong so I can carry my big present bag. I need to do more exercise so I will not be tired when I ride my reindeer. I also need to learn different languages to communicate with kids all over the world.
When I become a Santa Claus, I will send a lot of presents to Ying Wa Boys!

I had an unforgettable day today. It was because I visited Yue Fei’s tomb and temple. He was a great warrior. This is part of his story: “Yue’s army was brave and disciplined in fighting the Jin’s army.” I loved this part because it was very cool and only brave warrior could do that. I think Yue Fei is a brave hero that needs to be respected. He loved his country, fought for his country and died for his country. I have learnt a lot from him. This is why the trip was very unforgettable.

On my eighth birthday, my parents treated me to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort as a celebration. It was my first visit to this theme park, I had the most exciting and unforgettable experience there.
I remember when I first stepped into the park, I was amazed to see the miniatures of Asia’s famous landmarks that were made of LEGO bricks, I wonder whether I could make one myself.
The most exciting part of the day would be riding on ‘Lego Technic’ – a high speed ride in the water and ‘Project X’ – a wild ride on a steep switchback track. At first, I had great fun riding on ‘Lego Technic’. However, after getting onto ‘Project X’, I started to panic. As it was moving downwards, I was scared to death.
After that, we moved on to the water park. We tried on the ‘Slide Racer’, My parents and I raced down the slides together on a mat. At last, my Dad won. There was so much fun!
I have never had so much fun and excitement on a single day. I really thank my parents for making my birthday so unforgettable and I hope that we can visit there again.

My Dream Job MERIT

My dream job changes over time. Previously, I wanted to be on architect and a pilot. Later, I changed my mind. I fear of mice which are easily found in the construction site. I feel that I am not brave enough to be a pilot.
At, present, my dream job is a scientist when I grow up. Scientists help to invent some new things. Those inventions can make the world better, more convenient and having more fun. I can also act as a science teacher so as to share my knowledge.
In order to be a scientist, I should be excellent at General Studies and Mathematics. I also need to train up my observation skill, analytical ability and creativity.
Finally, I hope that I can decide my dream job soon. Therefore, I can focus with my effort and realize my dream job in the future. No matter what my dream job is, I need to study and work hard. This is what I always remind myself.
