Alien Attack SECOND PLACE

One day, while I was reading my novel,
I heard someone digging with a shovel.
Curious, I looked through the window,
And saw a rainbow!
“Strange…” I thought. “There are no rainbows in the night!”
Scared but excited, I snatched a flashlight.
Silently, I headed for the door,
Creeping slowly on the floor.
The night air was cold but fresh,
Suddenly, I smelled some flesh!
I tiptoed on the grass floor,
And then the rainbow appeared once more!
I ran towards the rainbow
And saw a dark shadow!
The shadow was eating a mouse,
Sitting beside a big house!
Then, I tripped over a stone
And crashed on a bone!
“Ugh!” I screamed.
In the night my voice streamed.
On my head was a lump,
The shadow moved, ready to jump.
It landed on my very side!
I scrambled, frantically looking for a place to hide.
The shadow grabbed my shoelace
And I saw its face!
It was an alien, with two tentacles on the head!
Oh, how I wish I was in bed!
The alien opened its hideous mouth with razor teeth,
Without thinking, I grabbed a leaf.
I tickled the alien on the tummy!
The alien laughed and I ran, so lucky!
Suddenly, I saw a strange gun
I kept zapping the air, oh what fun!
But then, three aliens rounded at me
Oh no, I couldn’t go free!
The aliens all zapped their guns at me.
Again, I zapped the gun towards the air, gee!
This time, an invisible shield covered me, all and fair.
Light flooded around the air.
I quickly shot the three surprised aliens.
Stars instantly surrounded them, in billions!
With a boom and a bash
They fell on the ground with a crash!
At last, I told my mother this story
But she thought it was very funny!
So I went to tell it to my brother Jack

I'm an iPhone THIRD PLACE

Some people ask me, do I like myself? You think you know the answer but, no, I fear not. Well, it’s only for past times that I felt useless. It’s totally a different think now.
I am an iPhone 3. Some years ago, Paul bought me from my home where I was born. If you had anything to say about Paul, it was that he was fat. You could see many pieces of squishy meat sticking outside his belly. Well, that totally ruined our first sight. Afterwards, when Paul went home and typed in his profile, I know that it was gonna be a tough journey. He was a young man in his mid-twenties who was unsuccessful for finding a paid job. So, he worked as a FULL-TIME VIDEO GAME PLAYER and a worker of his crabby Youtube channel.
When he was playing with his games, he would munch on various kinds of snacks. Well, snacks keeping falling on me when he eats them and they make him score low in the games. Then Paul gets mad and he’d punch me on the screen. But what the devil is that my fault? So I am getting punished for the things the snacks did. How unfair!
But it wasn’t time to care about fairness. Paul had even worse problems. Firstly, his sociability was nearly 0. I counted that he went two months a time on average and 95% of his meals were only chips. So that brings us to the second problem which is his weight increasing. He went from 200 pounds to exceeding 400 pounds in just three months! His online friends started to repel him and he was very upset. I felt depressed, too. It was all my fault. What could I do?
Suddenly, I found an app inside called “I-Reminder”. It was a daily reminder made by the i-phone itself. So, the next day, I said, “Hey, go out more and people will like you.” Paul immediately bounced off his bed and changed into his sport kit. We jogged together and did stretching exercises. We… I guess you know what happens next.

School Canteens Should Stop Selling Soft Drinks MERIT

Nowadays, school canteens sell a lot of soft drinks to students during recesses. However, soft drinks contain a lot of harmful and unnatural materials that can lead to many health and dental problems, and can even result in students’ addiction to these soft drinks.
Soft drinks contain huge quantities of sugar, calories, artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup. These things are bad to our bodies, and they can lead to many severe illnesses, such as obesity, stroke, heart attack, hypertension and diabetes. Drinking soft drinks daily is like drinking a deadly poison every day, as they bring so many illnesses, so this is one reason why school canteens school stop selling soft drinks.
Another reason school canteens should stop selling soft drinks is that soft drinks are not good to our teeth. Soft drinks contain phosphoric acid, which interferes with the body’s ability to absorb calcium and can lead to cavities and decays teeth. Soft drinks also cause plaque to build upon the teeth, which can lead to gum disease.
Studies show that soft drinks can cause addiction due to the caffeine they contain. People will drink more and more soft drinks, and this will start a vicious cycle. The more they drink, the more they are addicted to and more health problems caused.
Actually, there are some alternatives to choose from. Water is a good choice, and fruit juice without excessive sugar is good too. I think school canteens should stop selling soft drinks from now on!

One day, when I was very hungry, I bought a tasty cheeseburger to eat, but I saw an old man sitting on the street who seemed more hungry than I was, so I shared half of my burger with him.
The next morning after that happened, when I woke up, I yawned, and surprisingly, my blanket became a large slice of toast! My pillow became a gigantic grape flavoured chewing gum! What was more unbelievable, when I touched my cute teddy bear, it came to life and kept on saying “Papa! Mama! Papa! Mama! They are both ugly!” and then I said, “you dumb teddy bear better shut up or you will wish you had not been produced!” After a number of successful tries, I discovered that I had magical powers.
One morning, when I was at school arguing with my classmate, he said, “you chubby boy be quiet!” then I said, “you brown piece of thing be quiet too!” Then, he became a large chunk of human-shaped chocolate with it’s mouth opened. All of the classmates said I was a magician.
So, I discovered everything I touched without life comes to life for half an hour; everything close to the sound wave of my voice became food. So I spoke less in that period of time.
After this, I knew the people in Africa didn’t have enough of food, so I went there and help the people to have more food.
What a meaningful magical power, I will try to use it properly. However after a few months, my magical power vanished. Now I can speak as loud as I want again.

Anger takes over all your thoughts.
Anger wipes your mind blank but rage.
All you do is smash everything in your way.
Anger is like a destruction beam.
It turns you into a bomb.
Every minute the timer counts down,
You tried to keep it under control.
But the hatred grows and destroy everything in your mind.
Sometimes anger makes you burst into tears.
That is when sadness grew in your mind.

Not even a slight of joy can sneak in.
Sadness reminds you about your faults.
