If I had a Magic Finger, I would... SECOND PLACE

If I had a magic finger, I would… well, I would undoubtedly do something shocking, like when George gave his grandma his own marvelous medicine, I would make my own horrible history teacher turn into a small puppy. No, some of my classmates were scared of dogs. I would turn all of my neighbours into mice and turn them back after one night. No, they were innocent. So if someone did something horrible to me, I would turn around and turn him into my puppet! Ha ha! No, his or her parents would be furious! Then, I would go to the lake and grab a toad and turn it into a marshmallow and gulp it down. But what if the toad turned back in my tummy? It would surely give me a stomachache! Now here’s a thought. Hmmm…
It my magic finger could zap myself, then I would turn myself invisible and tap somebody’s shoulder and that person would think a ghost had tapped him on the shoulder and run away screaming. No, some people don’t believe in ghosts, so that prank wouldn’t work on some people. If that didn’t work, I would turn into a spaceship, and take people to Mars! But what if I, even in spaceship-form, still needed to breathe? There weren’t any spaceship-spacesuits. If we were in a war, my magic finger might help. Let me think…
I would turn into a streak of fire that could move and hover above the ground and burn my (or our) enemies to a crisp. They would do it. They would be frizzled to a fritter. Yahoo! My face would be on the newspapers and I would be famous!
If I had a magic finger, there would be a world of endless possibilities and nothing, absolutely nothing, would be impossible.

An Unforgettable Trip THIRD PLACE

I always dream about participating in a snowball fight. During the Christmas of 2014, my dream came true and my family went to Rusutsu Resort in Hokkaido.
I was extremely excited when I rode on a coach heading to the ski resort. Series of tall trees like soldiers lining up orderly at both sides saluted us. After a few hours of lesson, we were able to manage the intermediate skiing route. When I skied along the white battlefield, I saw groups of kids having a snowball fight. We landed to one of their army units and teamed up with them to form the world’s strongest alliance.
As a snow warrior, I equipped myself with a fantastic armor suit, a bulletproof hood ad a pair of military goggles. The air was slashed by snowballs and snow splashes. We kept running, hiding and yelling for a whole hour without feeling tired.
With such a good workout, we were rewarded with a yummy buffet. I gulped fat juicy salmon, fresh giant snow crabs and hot tasty ramen. Despite being stranded at the airport for nineteen hours due to heavy snow when departure, I still want to visit Hokkaido again to reunite with my troop.

“Wake up Ben, wake up!” Ben opened his eyes. His sister, Lucy, was shaking him gently. “What?” he mumbled. Lucy said excitedly, “We are going to Venus!” Ben paused and dashed out of the room. In the living room, four pieces of luggage were on the floor and a cheerful Mum handed him a plate with noodles on it. She said, “This is your breakfast.” Ben quickly changed his clothes and ate his breakfast and dash out the door and into a cab.
When they arrived at the spaceport, they found their spaceship, the “StormGalaxy”. They went inside, and walked towards first class row 7. They heard the loudspeaker booming for take-off, and they rose into the air and into space. On the spaceship, Ben watched “Tom and Jerry”, “Peppa Pig” and “Transformers”. When they got off, a space officer shoved their luggage into a machine and checked it with a scanner and stamped some little cards and clipped them onto the luggage and gave them back to Ben and Lucy. They went to the Plants Hotel. They went inside and were greeted by a young alien wearing a green dress. After that, they checked in and went to room 145 on the twentieth floor. They went to the Alien Army Hall which had a lot of history about battles. Then, the following day, they went to Spaceship Hall which was so big that they spent two days just looking at all of the spaceships like “Astana”, the first spaceship to fly to earth.
Time flew quickly and soon they had visited everything and had to go home, so they went aboard the spaceship. Ben said, “This trip will be an unforgettable trip!” It certainly was.

She hugs me whenever she sees me, no matter where.
My grandfather is a kind panda.
He teaches me good manners while I’m eating pizza with pasta and soda.
And me, an active monkey.
I jump around and I’m always free.

If I had a magic finger, I would make the whole world an anti-bullying anti-war zone because I want the people in this world to live peacefully and comfortably. There are two important things I also want to do with this magic finger.
Firstly, I would travel to those developing countries to help the poor and starving children to fight against famine. I will use my magic finger to draw a huge land of soil for them to grow food. The land is inside a greenhouse for preventing the typhoon blowing away the plants. It can also make the plants grow faster and better.
Secondly, I would visit the old and sick people in the hospital. I would prescribe the right medicine for them and they would recover faster and there would be no more diseases in the world.
So, if I did have a magic finger, I would help the world as much as I can. No more famine, war or diseases. Only full of joy, love, hope and blessing surrounding the world. If you need help, I will always be there. Call me when you need help. Thank you!

I live in a big house with my dad mum and brother. My brother and I love writing stories. My brother thinks that my stories are better than his. He always wants to steal my writing. When I realize it, I keep all of my writing in a drawer with a lock. One day, I left al of my stories unattended and I caught my brother copying them. I shouted and pointed at him angrily. Suddenly a sort of flash came out of me, a quick flash, liked something electric.
My brother shrunk into the size of a Lego figure. He came forward and apologized. However, I ignore him and threw him into the Lego toy box. Then I went straight into my room and started with my homework, until I heard the bell rang.
“Uh-oh! It is my parents! Where is my brother?” I murmured to myself. I dashed out to my toy box and dipped my head deep and searched for my naughty brother. There he was! I used my magic finger once again and turned him back to normal size. What a close shave!
