YWPS's Cambridge Study Tour 2017 for P.6 has started! The main group from Hong Kong departed on 30 Jul with teachers. A few of them joined the group from other parts of Europe. All 22 boys have arrived safely.
Let's hear what Oscar Chan, Isaac Chan and Mrs Ho want to say.
Today, although was still the first day without special activities, I amazingly had a great time.
Firstly - the room. The room had mostly all the facilities you need to use staying overnight, but a hair dryer was missing😅. Also, all the kids could have a single room, all by themselves!
Secondly - the mentors. They were super enthusiastic with their job as a mentor and always happy to be of your assistance. My mentor was called Miss Maggie. Although she came from New Zealand, she speaks in a really nice British accent, which means you can understand every single word she says. I'm sure we can cooperate very well during the whole tour. So do the others!
That's it for today! I already got a really good impression about this tour!
Looking at just this late afternoon, I feel like this will be a one-in-a-lifetime learning experience for us.
We were first assigned to our single bedrooms (that's a decent thing I've never tried before) which made be already well adapted into the environment like a student studying in a college in Cambridge.
Then, my kind mentor Katie guided my groupmates and I to our normal positionings and we were then befuddled by the college dinner. While chatting along with my mentor and other groupmates, I have started to know more about them.
I'm really looking forward to the following days and exciting activities here. I sincerely hope that all of us can cooperate well and make this a memorable experience!
People say that attitude is the key to success. Definitely, the whole group of twenty-two P.6 Ying Wa boys, show their fantastic learning attitude towards the Programme in Cambridge.
The ingredients in their attitude:
Adventure 40%
Discovery 60%
Playfulness 40%
Curiosity 50%
With the right attitude, they have made their significant steps of their learning path.
