Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2018/19 announced their lists of awardees and the English Drama Team of YWPS is happy to be awarded the following awards for the comedy “When Fairy Tales Collide...”:

Congratulations to our drama team, the awarded boys, our teachers-in-charge Mrs Paul, Ms Cheng and Ms Yau, and our remarkable assisting parents!

The show will be performed once more at our Drama Fiesta in June. Surely they will bring down the house!

It was a terrific experience for me! Hansel is an energetic and curious boy like me so I quite enjoyed the practices and the show.

During the practices, Mrs. Paul, Ms. Yau and Ms. Cheng kept on encouraging me and telling me how could I improve.

This prize doesn’t only belong to me, it belongs to all of the ones who supported me. I thank every one especially Principal Lam, Mrs. Paul, Ms. Yau, Ms. Cheng and my parents again from the bottom of heart. Thanks!

Acting as a prince was challenging for me , especially as I had to propose to a fellow P5 boy dressed as Goldilocks! It was awkward but fun.

The teachers were very serious and a bit harsh during practices but it was all for our own good. We were all trying our best for the performance.

I would like to thank Mrs Lam, all the teachers, and my parents for helping us to attain the awards. It was really an amazing experience for the whole team.

Thank you Ms Peggy , Mrs Paul and Ms Jackie for this remarkable experience . Through the practices I learnt a lot and had loads of fun .

My role was Gretel , a rather haughty girl trapped by the evil witch . It was not easy being a girl at all , as Mrs Paul said to me once , ‘it is easy for a girl to be a boy , but not easy for a boy to be a girl .’ But I was eager to show the adjudicators and the audience my best . I was extremely happy when I saw the audience laugh .

I am honoured to be one of the actors who received the outstanding award . I am sure if it was not for all the teachers and parents that helped me , I would not have received the award .

Once again thank you all the teachers for giving me this Chance , i cannot wait for the performance coming and show them my best .
