 | Congratulations to Edmund Wu 6B whose fiction was shortlisted by this year's Hong Kong Young Writers Awards (Group 2). I attended the ceremony today (22 Mar) at the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park's Charles K Kao Auditorium with Edmund and his father. I could see that this competition was managed in a very organized manner and it truly honours the competitors. The atmosphere there was very grand and encouraging. It is a big achievement in this prestigious competition having been shortlisted. Edmund's work was among the top eight in Fiction Group 2. He received a "Highly Commended" certificate, the official anthology with his work in, and a pen as souvenir. It was the experience that matters - seeing the professional organizer's handling of the competition and the ceremony truly inspires one to feel that creative writing in English is still being very well respected in Hong Kong. Congratulations, Edmund! I always enjoyed reading your writings. You are really very creative and imaginative. I'm really glad that you shared your work with you friends and you even write magazines for our lower primary students! WELL DONE!
