Poetry — "English Time" Episode 4

[12 May] Hello to you all! Hinson returns for the fourth episode of "English Time — presented by Forgottenland"! And this time, he brings a friend!

In this episode, Hinson, one of our three heroes in the "To Be Continued..." series, talks about four-line poetry, which he has demonstrated with a friend in Chapter 5 of the story. Do you recall that they follow the Seven Step Verse style to compose a meaningful little poem inspired by items they are holding?

Here they talk about this topic with interesting examples from different boys!

Now, after watching this episode, can you make a similar poem? Instructions are straightforward: 4 lines, rhyming, based on an item, and has a message to send.

If you ask me, both the fruit apple as well as the company that gave us so much in terms of technology, are useful and interesting. One keeps the doctor away and the other keeps us well informed and technically ahead. Please remember to write "hangs" instead of "hang" since it's one leaf you're talking about. Also, "more interesting than" instead of "interest" since you are comparing. But, overall I like your idea of using the fruit and the ipod (developed by Apple) together in the poem.

However, since you've written "cats", it should have been "they" instead of "its'. Also, it should be "rats" not "rat", "its" not "it's" (it is), "makes' and not "make".

I agree with you, Samson. Water is therefore also a synonym for "life." You have very aptly penned down the importance of water in these 4 lines. However, in your first line it should be "kindest" instead of "kindness" and I also believe, it would have been better to say that "it is used for 'everyone/life' to grow."
