"To Be Continued..." Chapter 7 Launched!

[2 Jun] "To Be Continued..." has come to its 7th chapter! More unbelievable things happens after Chi-yin recovers from his disability...Bong's identity is in question, Na Na reveals the secrets of the Old Wise Man, and our heroes have little idea what is waiting for them next! The story is reaching its climax soon! Watch the chapter again here for all clues and mysteries!

Intriguingly, in this chapter, the boys didn't throw their dice and thus no obvious hints are given. But does it mean there won't be any clues you can find in school? This puzzle is certainly "to be continued..."

Now boys, question time. Here are two thoughtful questions for you. Feel free to answer one or both of them:

1. Na Na talks a lot about the secrets she knows. Do you think she has told the truth? What makes you believe or not believe her?
2. The Old Wise Man seems to be "inviting" the heroes to attend his "concert". What do you think he intends to do and why?

2. I think that the Old Wise Man wants to have Guawa reach his (its) final form, and he will use the seven sacred items (the robot was controlled by the old wise man, and it will help the Old Wise Man to succeed in the journey to conquer the world, or whatever he plans) to feed Guawa. I think that the seven ‘sacred’ items are the negative items which Na Na was talking about. Like the broken key and the C-shaped handle, they are broken, causing negative emotions coming from their inventors or founders. Those items might be the last ‘negative items’ to fully enhance Guawa to its final form, and Guawa’s force may be unstoppable. Lastly, The Old Wise Man might use the Pipa to reinforce Guawa even more, and he may succeed in whatever his plan may be.

Q2. I think the old wise man is lying about the concert. Maybe he is luring them into a trap, secretly feeding not only the sacred items to Gauwa, but the heroes themselves. That’s why all of the heroes before Bong and the others failed.

Q1. I think Na Na is telling the truth and here’s why: firstly, if she is telling lies, then why did the old wise man wanted to capture her, secondly, because she also have the dices which are used in the hula hoop.
Q2. I think it is a trap, because I think the old wise man already knows that Na Na told them the truth, so the old wise man wants to prevent the heros from spoiling the truth to more people so that the old wise man wanted to capture them.

1. I think Na Na isn't telling the truth about her knowledge of the old wise man. First of all, I still think the old wise man is evil but instead of Na Na escaping from him, she actually works for him. I also don't believe her because when she first met Bong why didn't she tell him immediately about the old wise man, maybe because she wanted to use Bong to get the other items. Except for that, how would she know that 1. the old wise man created Guawa and 2. how would she know what Guawa eats. Maybe she is the person who feeds him.
2. I think he intends to use the and lead them towards Guawa and then he would tell them to give Guawa the "sacred items" and the Guawa would help the old wise man end the three heroes.

Interesting question...
I personally have no idea,and have weak evidence,so instead of my personal view,I will talk about chances.
There are many possibilities,and Na Na can both be telling the truth or lies with different hidden meanings.
If she is telling a lie for good means,she might just be making up stories to test the loyalty of the three heroes,which there are no evidence supporting this.
If she is telling a lie for bad means,she will lie to confuse the three heroes,and make a bad imprint of the Old Wise Man,and maybe she is working not for the Old Wise Man,but Gauwa,which again have no evidence supporting this.
On the other hand,she might be telling the truth,but only to scare the three heroes,which is just an completely unrealistic idea,cause why will she be thinking that?
The most evidential thought is she is telling the truth by good means,because we,from the things the Old Wise Man did,the robot,the guards,etc.

I believe Nana is suspicious because the fake Bong robot appeared out of nowhere. The robot was clearly malfunctioning but Nana did not seem surprised to know something was pretending to be Bong. Instead she knocked the robot away like the robot was giving away the plan that she and the old wise man had made up. The old wise man was obviously a fake because Bong was nearly captured by him. Q1:I personally think the old wise man was actually not the people of the forgotten land, and was from the future. He probably was travelling by time so that every forgotten land people didn't know a lot about him. Hence NaNa was telling Bong a part of the truth of old wise man and was not the whole truth.

Q1) Yes, I think that Na Na told the truth because she could recall many details of the secrets she knew, and people telling a lie usually couldn’t. Also, in one of the previous chapters the Old Wise Man said “You seemed to have known a secret that is beyond your reach” to Bong. I guess the Old Wise Man didn’t want the heroes to know about his ‘secrets’ so he used his warriors to trap Na Na. The whole thing seems to be quite logical, in my opinion.

I think that NaNa is telling the truth. First of all, in the previous chapter, Bong helped her a lot, so I think that NaNa is a friend of Bong and she would not trick Bong. Second of all, NaNa has the dices that are from the Old Wise Man, which means that she has worked with the Old Wise Man before. 1. I think that Nana is telling the truth. It is because the Old Wise Man is acting strange in Chapter 5. He said," My boy, you have known too much." That means that the Old Wise Man thought that Nana had told the truth already with Bong. That is why in the Old Wise Man room has Nana captured too. Another thing to notice is that, the Old Wise Man instantly teleported the seven items and the robot directly to himself. If he wasn't using the seven items to feed Gauwa, he would wait until the heroes to return. Also, the Old Wise Man was holding the pipa in the call, that suggests that the Old Wise Man is still in the past, an action that no one could manage. That is when the robot Bong comes in. The red portal the Robot Bong has might be the tool that the Old Wise Man used to travel to the past. This explains everything and makes Nana story make sense, so I think that it is safe to trust Nana.

Moreover, endless heroes had already attempted to kill Gauwa before but in vain, so there was no point for sending the three young children to fight the powerful monster. Q1. I think Nana is telling the truth about the old wise man. Up to the seventh chapter in the story, there is many evidence about the (not) Wise being sus, while there is many evidence of Nana being good.

Anyway, I think the seven sacred items were the only items that could stop the Wise and his cunning plan, so when the robot disappeared it was dystroyed, taking the seven items with it... or so the Wise thought.

1. I believe that Na Na is telling lies and there are a few close which led me to this conclusion.

1st. The old wise man wanted to capture Na Na and she escaped every time with Bong easily, which makes me think that the old wise man was actually letting them escape on purpose.
2nd.Why does Na Na still live in the old wise man's territory if she was a past hero who knew secrets? Logically she should have left for her own safety.
3rd. If Na Na knew the secrets so well, why did she stutter when she replied Bong whether she was a heroine?

2. The old wise man's supposed concert, in my opinion, is actually bringing the heroes and all the residents to the reveal of his master plan and the final stage (if it has one) of Gauwa.

Q1: I think Nana has told the truth and why she told a lot of her secrets was because that she had a similar personality like Oliver Twist, when the Old Wise Man knew that Nana knows about the secret of Gauwa, she got teleported to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor, and got stuck there. Then, she found out that she needs another hero of Forgotten Land to unlock the curse to leave it. Bong went into it and Nana thought that Bong must be her saviour, so she told all the secrets to Bong.

Q2. I think the Old Wise Man invited them for the "concert" is to trap and teleport them to another place with a curse as i mentioned in the first question, and the curse is maybe the smell of Gauwa.

Q2: I think the concert will be a trap organised by the old wise man. I think after the old wise man transported the three heroes to the concert, he will let Gauwa have the seven sacred items and eat the heroes. This explains why all heroes didn’t go back to Forgotten Land, they were eaten by Gauwa.

It is clear that the Old Wise Man is suspicious, and what Na Na said is likely to be true. As for Gauwa, it was defeated earlier, but its Deoxyribonucleic acid is collected by the Old Wise Cunning Man in order to create a power, but he accidentally created Gauwa 2.0. Then he changed plans by using Gauwa 2.0 to make the havoc instead. It’s just that the hero who defeated the evil sacrificed his/her life.
2. He may want the heroes to know the truth while it is too late to stop it. Then he will play the pipa in a certain tune that would make Gauwa awaken and unleash its ultimate power(it was just in the asleep condition when the Old Wise Man was feeding it, but the stench was still there while it was sleeping, and after the Old Wise Man feeds the items the trio gave him to the monster, Gauwa will enter the final stage) and kill them first. It was because the Old Wise Man wants to do something evil, like conquering the whole universe of universes, and he needs Gauwa’s power. And that’s why he needed to chase Na Na when she stole the pipa for good. And as the Chinese proverb says, “You have to shoot the horse before shooting the horseman, and catch the leader before catching the bandits”, the Old Wise Man has to kill the three heroes quickly before they could tell the truth to the citizens of Forgottenland and defeat Gauwa.
Now everything makes sense.

Question #1: I do not believe that Na Na is telling the truth. For one, her story is too in sync with Bong’s current suspicion that the Old Wise Man is evil (not that I believe in “good” or “evil”). After seemingly being captured by the Old Wise Man, Bong of course believes that the Old Wise Man is not as innocent as he seems. By re-affirming Bong’s suspicion and adding new extravagant details to the mix, Na Na successfully gains Bong’s trust and makes him hate the Old Wise Man even more. To me, this seems like some manipulation is taking place. If I were to manipulate one of the heroes, I would of course choose Bong, as he is quite hot-headed and impulsive, and thinks with his heart, not his brain. The fact that neither Hinson nor Chi-Yin, who appear to be more intelligent, were approached by Na Na makes the possibility of her manipulating Bong even more suspicious. Furthermore, if Na Na’s job was to collect items for the Old Wise Man, then why would she be chased by the terracotta army (which was in the control of the Old Wise Man) after “stealing” a pipa string? She was going to give it to Bong anyway, who was sure to transfer it to the Old Wise Man. Therefore, this self-contradiction makes it evident that Na Na is working against Bong, Chi-yin, and Hinson. Finally, Bong’s final two questions, which would potentially give her away if she was lying, were not answered by Na Na because she was “interrupted” by the timely (perhaps too timely) appearance of the robot Bong. The obvious conclusion to draw from this is that Na Na is NOT telling the truth. This hypothesis fits perfectly because Na Na even has a motive – being banished to a sub-area of Forgottenland made her desire revenge.

Question #2: The Old Wise Man’s brief message has a hidden, unspoken implication: he holds Na Na hostage, or at least he claims to. In Chapter 5, when he captured Na Na and Bong, the Old Wise Man was also seen to be stroking Na Na’s pipa. Him stroking the pipa again probably is a lure for the heroes to meet him, since Bong is apparently smitten with Na Na. If he was not stroking the pipa, then the heroes would not have met him as he was quite questionable. I do not necessarily think that the Old Wise Man would kill Na Na, but probably insurance that the heroes would arrive is necessary for the Old Wise Man’s plans. So what is the Old Wise Man’s master plan for the three “heroes”? Some believe that the Old Wise Man wants to kill the three heroes, but this is just too intuitive to be true. My hypothesis is that the Old Wise Man will reveal to the heroes what I think is Gauwa’s big secret – that is, he doesn’t exist. I think this case of “Gauwa” originates from some myth about a monster who haunts the mountains to scare children, but some person believed that myth and started blaming their own unhappiness on it. The result was that everyone believed, and because they believed, they naturally became unhappy. Believing something is true results in that thing becoming true. For example, Chi-yin thought he couldn’t walk, and because he thought that he became disabled. The evidence for this outlandish claim are as follows: 1) the Old Wise Man sighed after sending out the heroes, and 2) all of the other heroes were unsuccessful in defeating Gauwa, even though collecting the sacred items was easy, reflected by how the three heroes did not encounter many problems when collecting the items. Or perhaps there has been a flaw in my logical process thus far. If this hypothesis is mistaken, then the story would probably proceed with the Old Wise Man telling the heroes the way to defeat Gauwa. Since I will assume that Na Na is not to be trusted (i.e. “evil”), I think she would probably join forces with Gauwa and try to defeat the heroes and Old Wise Man.

Q2. I think the "concert" that the Old Wise Man invited the three heroes to go is a trap. The Old Wise Man will kidnap them in the "concert" and kill them, he will also feed the seven sacred items to Gauwa. Then, everyone will think the three heroes are killed by Guawa.

Q2. I think the old wise man wants to kill the young heroes because with his highly advanced technology, he was probably tracking the heroes all the time and knew that they have found out too much. Therefore, if the heroes return to Forgottenland, the old wise man would be exposed and his creation -Guawa- would probably get brutally murdered.

2. I think the old wise man intends to capture the three heroes and imprison them. Maybe he did that to every other hero who succeeded. Maybe that is why all the other heroes never came back.

(1) I think Na Na was telling the truth. It is because according to Chapter 5, Bong disappeared after he met the Old Wise Man and this tells us that the Old Wise Man was evil! Nana should be right that Gauwa was made by the Old Wise Man and the Old Wise Man had a evil plan. So, Nana hoped the three heroes to stop Old Wise Man and not give the seven sacred items to Gauwa.

(2) I think the Old Wise Man wanted to kill the three heroes because he already found that Nana had told the three heroes about his secret, and he didn’t want anyone to disrupt his evil plan. Also, as Gauwa liked eating large items, the three heroes might become Gauwa’s ‘dim sum’ and it might become even more powerful!

Q1. I don't think Na Na is talking the truth. It is because she said that she was a '' heroine '' of the old wise man. However, according to her speech, the old wise man was evil, so why didn't he kill Na Na to stop her from telling the other '' heroes'' ? Also, as a normal '' heroine '', why she will know so much about the old wise man '' secrets '' ?Therefore, I think that the old wise man was threatened by Na Na to pretend to chase her and Bong to get the '' heroes '' trust. I know this because in the introduction, after the three '' heroes '' jumped into the portal, he sighed.

Q1. I think Nana is the old wise man's reliable assistant. I think that the so called the evil plan is something that Nana make up and tell the heroes to where and where because the heroes trusted Nana.
Q2. The robot's suddent vanish mabye appear in the old wise man's "concert". The old wise man might have to kill the heroes and fed Gauwa with it. The old wise man may pretend that the heroes died in vain and select another heroes and to let Gauwa destroy the city and be the dominator of the land and let a lot of citisens to work for him.( This is just a predition. Don't take it too serious and wait for the next chapter to release:))

Q.1: I believe that Na Na has told part of the truth but not the whole truth. I believe her because she was locked by the old wise man and she said to mind the wise. Her knowledge about the old wise man may be true but I believe that there is more to the story. Na Na gasped when she saw the robot Bong, I think she might recognize the robot as the old wise man's loyal servants. Na Na has stole a pipa from the old wise man, I guess the reason the old wise man was so angry was because the pipa was an enchanted instrument to calm Gauwa and make him stronger. In the story, Na Na tells Bong that the old wise man has his own evil plans, this statement is very unclear and the plans could include defeating the heroes with Gauwa.

I think the Old Wise Man is planning to make a little exhibit for the three young heroes just to show them how powerful Gauwa is now and then he will imprison them after “the concert” has ended.

She just disappeared from the mysterious fog above the mercury lake right before the Old Wise Man appears on the screen of the robot. This makes me think that Na Na is trying to hide some sort of secrets.

Q.1 I think Nana is telling the truth because if she is mot why she would be chase by the old wise man people? And she have save the three heroes by taking away the "robot Bong". And I think the robot lend them to the sacred items . But there are something fishy why will Nana give one of the sacred items "the Pipa string" in the first place? that makes no sense!!??
Q.2 I think the "concert" means showing the people in the forgotten land that how powerful is Gauwa is now ,I think that the old wise man is thinking to run off the people in forgotten land to make himself king . I think the "concert" means destroying forgotten land.
