ENGLISH IS WOW!!!

I will give at the very least 7 BIG FAT "WOW"s to our Drama Fiesta this year which was just completed this morning in the most festive and energetic atmosphere.

The first WOW goes to our junior drama team, "The Rainbow", and their coaches and parent helpers. What a meaningful story and what a powerful performance, and what a spectrum of distinctive voices to provoke a deep debate about which colour is more important! And most importantly, what a fun play to watch!!!

The second WOW of course goes to our senior drama team, "I Am Who I Am", and their coaches. What a huge challenge for them to play this complicated story with singing and dancing involved and detailed stage effects! They definitely deserve the many awards they have received if not even more! And the audience simply loved the show! We should all be proud of who we are!

Thirdly, I will send this WOW to the team behind the junior drama video "Clinky Planky Tenbo"! Oh my goodness! What a fun script! What a fun name! And what a cute performance from our talented young actors! We loved every moment of it!

The fourth WOW goes to Mrs Ho's body percussion session for the junior show in the hall. Her energetic and charming teaching of the rhyming lines and dance moves heated the entire hall of P.1-3 boys! Also, her team of P.2 dancers offered great help to the session!

Fifthly, this WOW must go to all our teachers taking care of the English Room, Covered Playground and Exhibition Hall activities for students who were not in the hall. Those teachers had limited space but a large amount of students to entertain. We should send them our best gratitude for their marvelous job to make our boys enjoy English to the fullest! My salute to them all!

WOW number six goes to my entire English teaching team as well as the entire YWPS teaching staff who helped to ensure the flow of the day to be smooth and safe. In particular, I thank Ms Jenny Ho for coordinating different parties and finalizing a very complicated run-down; I thank Miss Candy Ho and Angel Leung for designing a great souvenir programme; and I thank the Vice-principal Ms Pansy Chan for arranging teachers to take care of different classes when English teachers were unavailable.

Last but not least, the seventh WOW must go to our P.6 Improvised Dramatic Scene contestants. They achieved a very high level of improvised drama overall with great plot twists and acting skills demonstrated with only 10 min of practice time. I was so touched seeing their growth in our drama in education scheme. And most importantly, I am happy seeing all the happy faces on stage!

There must be a lot more "WOW"s I could give and I have no idea where to stop. This show was stunning and it truthfully showcased what our boys and teachers have been working on this whole year. This show was like a summary of our dramatic effort. I would say that this is the BEST Drama Fiesta so far and, I know this sounds greedy, I am already looking forward to having an even better show next year!

English is amazingly "WOW"!

Thanks to Dr Lee’s invitation, I was able to pay a visit to Ying Wa again and watch such a great show! It was so entertaining and enjoyable that Baby Matthew was clapping and singing along! Congratulations to the students and teachers who had worked so hard on the preparation! It was indeed a wonderful Fiesta!

This was a truly amazing experience for me to participate in the Drama Fiesta, at first I was nervous about this act, because I had to perform to the whole school ! Fortunately, I wasn't that scared after I went into backstage. I kept confident as I walked on the stage.
Luckily I was able to perform a good show to my schoolmates and let them have a great time.
Thanks to all the English teachers for organizing this wonderful activity for us to express our talents.

This years's Drama Fiesta was as amazing and fun as the previous ones. I really enjoyed the senior drama act, Titus sang brilliantly it the drama! In addition, I really enjoyed the P.6 improvised drama section. Our class won this competition and I was overwhelmed with happiness at that moment!
Thank you teachers to organize this memorable Drama Fiesta for actors to show their talents, also entertaining our schoolmates as well. English is, a "WOW" for me as well!

I was lucky about to join this year's drama fiesta. Thanks to Jeffery to offer his place to me,and thank you for Dr.lee's training in the past few weeks. We were lucky that we chose an easy topic,"I lost my wallet".Although it was easy, but it was hard to think off an interesting and outstanding plot.
Although we argue slot during the discussion,we were able to improvise the parts that was not discussed.
Our classmates were really proud of us,they cheered and screamed,we were so happy at last.

Yes, this year's Drama Fiesta was very amazing and fun! I was in the improvised drama and we all thought we were lucky to have an easy topic: I lost my wallet.
Even though we thought it was easy, we still had some arguing on the plot and was difficult to have a plan that everyone agrees in, but we still managed to work it out in the end by putting all of our ideas all together to form a great story. We ere so happy when we got first place!
Thank you Dr Lee for giving me this chance to participate in this wonderful activity.

The great and amazing scene is still replaying and replaying and replaying...... What an entertaining day to me!
It is my pleasure to be chosen to step on the stage and perform to schoolmates. It is also my first drama performance on stage. Although I had experiences about presenting on stage, I really had neither ideas nor confidence when our team received our topic, "I lost my wallet", to kick off the discussion.
About ten minutes later, the discussion time came to an end. Though my teammates and I had a preliminary plan, we did not rehearse even once! I, myself, was totally startled.
When I debuted with panic, my legs were shaky and my brain was no longer working. My mouth was out of order either.
I was the narrator and also the cashier. With the enthusiasm for the "Improvised Dramatic Scene" and persistence,I kept on thinking and trying my best. Listening to the screaming and cheering, everything was worth, including our great efforts.
When the adjudicator, Mrs. Ho announced the results, we were all on cloud nine...... The happiness in our hearts were indescribable! I am still grateful to achieve this result!
I would like to give a word of thanks to all my teammates, Lin Chun Wing, Ryan Kwan, Joesph Lu, and Andy Koo. Without your creative thoughts, the championship would not be given to 6A. In addition, I am very grateful to the audiences and I greatly appreciate their support. I also want to express my deepest thanks to teachers who helped in the Drama Fiesta today, and Mrs.Ho, who encouraged us and gave us valuable comments. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
English is "WOW"!

About today's Drama Fiesta, I think that it was totally memorable and a very fun and happy day. Why? It is because that is my last year staying at Ying Wa. I need to cherish the last Drama Fiesta that I will have this year and the day afterwards. About this day, the most the thing that I think is the most memorable is staying in the Drama team for two years and thanks for the teachers, especially Mr. Ching, our Drama team teacher. I think that he gave me a lot of chances to be in the Drama team for two years and I think that this is a big personal growth for me to act a very important roll and the main character this time. At last, I want to say thank you so much to all of the teachers and classmates who has helped me. Thank you!

This was the most memorable Drama Fiesta I have ever participated in, there are two reasons: first, this is the last year I'm studying in YWPS. Second, I had the opportunity to perform on stage. Let me share my feelings with you.

First of all, I think the junior drama team members were very cute. Their play was also very creative.

Second, the senior drama team really performed a superb play. Personally, I think the play was very touching, but the plot was just OK. However, I really liked the play. The singing part definitely was the best. Titus's voice made my jaw drop. It was brilliant! That made me enjoy the play very much.

Last but not least, I was very honoured to join the Three Mountains Improvised Drama Team. But why was our team called Three Mountains??? It was simply because our team contained three tall boys( I think you should know who their are, so there is no need to mention their names). From my own perspective, this drama team was a bit special because normally, a drama team would only contain one or two tall guys, but there're a lot of guys who're above 170cm in our team. So this was a bit of awkward.

I really exerted myself to perform on stage. However, I think I could still do a lot more better. After the play, I aspired to win. I felt super nervous when it was the award ceremony. I clenched my fists and hoped to win. Thank god! Mrs Ho announced the winners, and they were the Three Mountains Improvised Drama Team! I was overwhelmed with joy and went on stage in order to receive the award.

In conclusion, this was a wonderful Drama Fiesta!

WOW.I was seriously impressed by how well did our senior and junior drama teams performed! The senior drama team did a perfect job singing and dancing the awesomely well-chosen songs from The Greatest Showman. Also, they did do some small movements that made the entire performance more interesting. For example, when Monet threw that scrap of paper behind his back?I don't know why,but it really got our attention and everybody laughed about it!The only thing that got me wondering is why the people up on the 5th floor didn't close up the curtains while the working crew was changing the scenes for the first time.I am sure that they should have done it.About the junior drama team, the only thing that I could scratch my head over is why one of the actor's mikes were not working.I hope that those actors would stay to be in the senior drama group! They are really some talented kids.

About the curtains, they were actually supposed to stay open and they are not done by 5th floor people

This was the best drama fiesta I’ve ever seen, the actors were so into the drama and the story plots were fantastic! Thanks to the actors on stage and the teachers who wrote the scripts and help the performers to practice for making this drama fiesta a splendid and wonderful memory to all.

Although I am a backstage crew, I still think this drama fiesta is fun and memorable. Because maybe this is my last time participating the drama fiesta and luckily, I can be a member in the senior drama team and participate in the drama fiesta! I always wanted to be in drama team and participate in drama fiestas. Thank you Miss Kwok and Mr. Ching for training us!

This year’s Drama Fiesta was simply amazing! This year was the first year(of course,it was also the last year in Ying Wa Primary School)that I can perform on stage at Drama Fiesta!I was quite nervous at first, but after Luke Cheung’s encouragement, I was not afraid of performing. It was our turn now,I kept calm when I was performing. At last, the play was successful. And also,I have some suggestions.I think that the part ,when Monet Lam teered the paper angrily should be included in the WOW!By the way,I am in the senior drama team.

In this year's Drama Fiesta,I had an extraordinary experience.
This was the first time I've ever participated in a Drama Fiesta,
and i'm lucky that got chosen to control the lighting for the Drama team. It was fun!
I am thankful that the school gave me such a special chance to volunteer on the balcony.
And... the results of the Drama was an absolute WOW!!!
