Canada Educational Trip, Day 1

Food, glorious food!
A huge shop!
Whose room is it?
Old friends and new faces - the 12-hour exciting (and turbulence-disturbed) flight to Vancouver opened up the first episode of our study tour, titled DSS School Scheme Canada Educational Trip 2016 (29 Apr - 8 May), involving 10 schools' representatives such as School Heads, Vice School Heads as well as curriculum leaders.

The YWPS group, Mrs Lam, Ms Chan, Ms Ho and I, arrived at the beautiful city under the gorgeous weather at around 4 pm, Canadian time, on 29 April. We headed straight to our hotel for check-in and had our first meal together at a nearby restaurant. Judging from the food we couldn't tell if we had gone overseas as the Shanghainese dishes were so well done! No one seemed to be affected by the jetlag yet as we finished our dinner smoothly.

The huge wholesale store opposite, "Costco", attracted our attention and we had a brief visit there. I have a feeling that I will be buying stuff there for students when it is time for souvenir hunt later.

We will surely have a better taste of the city tomorrow as the tour unfolds itself. Time for a rest. Stay tuned and enjoy life, wherever you are!

Dr H C Lee

p.s. I am appointed as the photographer of the tour and thus don't be surprised if I'm not in the pictures!

I felt surprised that the Chinese dishes were so good that you didn't feel that you are oversea.I think you will buy a lot of things when it's time to buy souvenirs because we bought a lot of souvenirs in Beijing.I am looking forward to the things that happen in the remaining days.

It is definitely very amazing for dishes happening to be well cooked as Shanghai style in Canada. I am looking forward for the trip's extension and there must be something exciting coming on right after! Have an enjoyable trip!

I think that this tour will be an unforgettable experience for everyone who attend it for school teachers rarely go for a trip together. I hope that teachers will post something interesting on-line.

I guess it should be Dr. Lee's room. It is because he is the camera man as he will take photos all the time!

"Costco" is the biggest store I have ever seen ! In Hong Kong , the only store that I think big is Ikea.

I remember the time when I went to Costco last summer. The superstore there is gigantic and I was utterly stunned about that place! The items there are extremely various.
