All delegates from Hong Kong in the tour
[27 Apr] The Estonia Educational Trip 2024 organized by the Direct Subsidy Scheme Schools Council starts on 26 Apr (till 4 May). A group of 28 delegates from 15 schools have joined this tour. In our school, Principal Chan, Vice Principal Mr Kwan and myself are part of this magical journey. We aim at learning as much as possible in terms of education and culture in this beautiful country of Estonia.

Our flight departed at around 20:30 and after 13 hours, it landed in Helsinki (Finland) for the connection flight to Tallinn (Estonia), which was a short ride of merely 30 min. It was around 14:15 (27 Apr) when we finally arrived at the hotel. We mainly spent time at the Tallinn Town Hall Square on this Day 1.

Overall, this day can be described as "smooth" and the biggest blessing is that I could sleep a bit on the long flight and thus my jet lag isn't too bad.

I look forward to keeping you updated in the days to come!

Dr Lee

The restaurant tries to give its guests the feeling that they have traveled back in time by offering them food, atmosphere and attire from the middle ages. 1. “Olde” is the old way to spell the word “old”, and English “borrowed” many word from other languages so it’s likely that the people are wearing traditional clothing from old times.

Q1. I suspect that the clothes that the staff were wearing are just cosplays to mimic the NPCs (non player characters) in RPGs (role playing games), most likely the legend of Zelda series of games, as they are seen wearing old fashioned clothes and mimicking elves, and there is a sign saying telling us that five coins can give you a diamond (valuable or power up) and twenty coins for an unknown bag (likely with items inside). I think the frisbee is there because, most likely, a person accidentally stuck it there or it is a gift by a customer.

For Q1:Based on the attire of these two ladies, it appears they are emulating a business model from centuries past. Their location, situated at the corner of an intersection, suggests that this street stall is likely an extension of a nearby restaurant. Therefore, it can be inferred that this small booth is selling memorabilia associated with the medieval-themed experience restaurant. Additionally, their presence at the crossroads serves as a form of advertising, drawing in passersby.

The frisbee, on the other hand, is most likely for the customers to score free or discounted products like a carnival game.
