Germany Educational Trip - Day 4

Mrs Lam and I meeting new friends (Grade 4) at AHF-Elementary School
[14 May] The fourth day of the tour has easily proven to be the best of the trip so far. The weather continued to be incredibly wonderful and the traffic was smooth. What was important was that we could have another school to visit!

We were arranged to visit a Christian school under August-Hermann-Franke-Schools – AHF-Elementary School in Detmold. It was a very warm and fruitful experience meeting their staff and children.
Picture
The German education system starts with a 4-year elementary programmme before they reach secondary education. I didn't see much yesterday but today I was overwhelmed by the friendliness of their children once we stepped into their large campus. I didn't know why but it seemed to be a lot more girls than boys in this photo.
Picture
The School Principal Mr Martin (right) greeted us and took us to walk around their campus. He shared a lot with us on their strong flavour of Christianity in their curriculum. And we had the chance to visit some of their classes. Mr Martin was a very sincere and generous educator.
Picture
I really enjoyed having the chance to meet the students there and speak to them. Although English wasn't their major subject to study and thus at the elementary school they might have difficulty understanding me, they were still so friendly and tried to interact with us. I talked to a few boys and they could tell me their names and they could pronounce mine as well.
My first German lesson...so funny! Thanks Ilian! ^o^
Picture
History might not be my strongest side, but I was deeply impressed by their German-Russian Museum attached to their school campus. A young gentleman explained to us the situation of the emigrated German citizens and the hardship they had been through. Indirectly, this told us the power of Christianity in uniting the German families and fighting for a better living.
Picture
A joyful dinner at a Spanish bar ended the evening. I was fortunate enough to sit beside the most  “powerful” lady in the universe, Mrs Lam! Why was she so powerful? Just look at her NINE Infinity Stones around her neck! Who could possibly fight against her? Thanos? Captain Marvel? She could turn them both into ashes by a single sneeze!
Question time. This round I have got three interesting questions for you!
Picture
1. We also visited the secondary school section of AHF. When we entered the Physics lab, we noticed a bar hanging down from the ceiling and attached to it were four other movable bars. What do you think they were?
Picture
2. Another weird sight was observed as a broken badminton racquet was stuck on a beam on the ceiling with an hour glass dangling down from the tip of the bent racquet head. Why were they up there as such?
Picture
3. Here is a funnier one for you...Please give a clever photo caption to this picture!
Tomorrow we will travel back to where we started our journey, somewhere at the south of River Main. More sharing later. Auf Wiederhören!

I think the bars are projectors for physics lessons.
They were up there to as coutdown equipment for everyone to see.
What IS this WEIRD man doing here?!

I was really glad that Dr.Lee could communicate with those Germans students,I think that the Germany government did a great job to educate their own teachers first ,I mean by telling them how to teach their little citizens. And then, the teachers can do a brilliant job to teach these students in a direct and precise way, make sure they have the 'learn to have fun' kind of mind. I think the government is very considerate to think out this point, Hong Kong.......

Question one:I think that the bar in the picture is some light bars which could move up and down ,those lights are for doing experiments.
Question two:This is a device for counting down and it was hang on the ceiling because it is clear enough for everyone to see.
Question three:A questioning man and a focusing boy!

Q.1 I think that the bar is a movevable table cleaner.Beacuse after the class, maybe the children will make a mess, and dirty ,so the teachers will use it to clean up.
Q.2 I think it’s a new count down clock and it can let anyone sea clearly and let people know what can a broken badminton racquet can do and teach children how can we become green life.
Q.3 At that photo there are a handsome man,a answering boy and a day dreaming boy.

1) The bars are for doing experiments.
2) It is just a clock made by themselves.
3) They are totally not focus in class and are staring at each other so it won't be boring.

Question 1: The large and long one is a light bar, and the four movable bars are fans?
Question 2: I think it is a countdown timer or a score board, maybe?
Question 3:'Please don't ask me questions anymore!' or 'A curious man, a patient boy and a boy who is day-dreaming.'

Dr Lee, can you now communicate with the students using German? Do you know what do the students eat in lunch? The trip has been well so far, have a peaceful trip!

Q1: I think those bars are blocking students from looking at each other as the bars swing down.
Q2: It is for some sort of experiment of weight.
Q3: A teacher staring at a student.

The student is surely a good teacher to teach French.

1I think the bars are for the teachers to hang stuff from the ceiling
2I think the batminton rack was to be something just so they can hang the hourglass and it was there to remind the students that in that classroom, time will never go by
3I think it’s a man talking to the boy and the boy was thinking “AH STRANGER DANGER!”

I think that is a LED light and it can be adjust to help the students do the physics experiment.Than, I think the hour glass hang in the roof is to let everyone know the time, also can bring out a recycle morrow.
Last, I think that boy is very inquisitive.

Question 1 answer: I think those are either lights or projectors.
Question 2 answer: I'm guessing that the hourglass kind of acts like a clock, or ever a timer(during exams or tests) and the broken racquet is for all the students to be able to see it.
Question 3 answer: Dr Lee: Can you teach me some German? Boy:(Continues staring at jacket...)

I see the fourth day as Dr. Lee's most fruitful day. I see I need a creative functioning brain to work out your 'sums'...
Question 1 answer: As I see, the tables and chairs are adjusted in different angles compared to the lights. In order to use the light in a different angle, the only way is to move the tables and chairs to let the light shine directly on the table. But as shown in the picture, and to add a tiny bit of innovativeness, try and imagine the lights adjusted in any angle. That will make it quite convenient. It may even be a table-cleaner, a ceiling-cleaner, physics equipment about momentum, acceleration and gravity, safely equipment...
Question 2 answer: That hourglass may be used to time students in their exams. It might be placed purposely on the ceiling so students don't have to use extra time to look at the timeclock used in exams often. Look closely and you'll see that the hourglass is made of something, a container used in physics perhaps. The racquet was broken. if you put two and two together, it seems that the classroom is using unused things to make interesting items. who came up with this creative, innovative idea?
Question 3 answer: this kid seems real interested in Dr. Lee ( What, his teeth, face, nose, chin, or whatever not visible in the photograph), and he is real inquisitive. He seems real quiet... what is he thinking?
'This man is handsome...' 'He doesn't know German...!'
Viel Glück bei deiner Reise!

I can see that Dr. Lee enjoyed the fourth day very much! By the way, how many friends did you know in the school?
Q1) I think that is the light or just simply a bar to do experiments and let students know more about the periodic table.
Q2) That hourglass maybe is used to time the students when they are taking an exam or doing an experiment.
Q3) A confused man questioning a focused boy.

These are the answers to your questions:
1. It might be a load of equations for learning. They might also be for gravity experiments, seeing that they are on the celing.
2. If it is high up on the celing, I don't think it's an actual clock. Maybe it is a symbol to encourage students to be creative and environmentally-friendly.
3. Wer ist diese Person? Er sieht nicht deutsch aus ...

(translated: Who is this person? He doesn't look German...)

I think the fist photo was just a really creative desige of lights and they move just for adjustible lighting, i guess. The second photo makes me think that a its like a clock someone made in their class or something. For the third one, "Annoyed kid stares at a grown man for not paying attention in class" Haha.

For question 1 Ithink that the bars are actually air conditioners

For question 2 I think that the broken badminton racket might actually be a little joke but then the teacher turned it into a timer

For question 3 I think a suitable caption might be "what are you saying?"
