P.6 Singapore Study Tour 2018: Day 3

2/25/2018

Picture
Day 3 offered our boys meaningful learning experiences such as the practicality and entertainment of science from the Singapore Science Centre, green city design and earth protection from Gardens by the Bay, and the prosperity and excellence of Singapore from the observation deck of Marina Bay Sands.

But beyond all these, our boys got to learn self discipline, mutual respect, punctuality, carefulness, sympathy, and giving a helping hand. Learning takes place anywhere and anytime, be it just an ignorance to a peer who forgot to speak English in the tour, approaching a receptionist to help with a vender machine, requesting a swimming child to help with a sunken souvenir on behalf of a peer, buying gifts for a participant who was feeling unwell, or simply reminding one another of the impending meeting time. These authentic scenarios I observed today reinforce the significance of overseas exposure and getting out of one's safe zone.

Two more days to go with solid school experience. I hope there will be more unanticipated learning opportunities and memorable moments for us all. I'm sure there will be.

Gardens by the bay? I've went there before. Did you go there at night? The view at night is awesome.

We visited a lot of places this day. We went to those famous places. My most memorable spots was the Science Center and Gardens by the Bay.
We had a lot of entertainment in the Science Center. The most memorable game was the mirror maze. It was very hard to find the exit because the mirrors were very clean and we were confused by those mirror images.
The other spot was Gardens by the Bay. The view was beautiful and there contained a lot of different kinds of plants. I knew some extra knowledge that the air-conditioner comes from the ground !
We had a fruitful day going to different places ! Thank you teachers to take care of us !

Visiting schools and Science Centre are indeed the key drivers let my son Chun Wing try all his best to get enrolled in this tour. His eyes really got catching and brightening from this experience.

The third day was the most enjoyable for me, and maybe my group loved it too. I loved the Science center the most, because I have never been to a Science center and all the artifacts were very cool. Gardens by the bay was nice too, it tells us that we should have a greener life and waste less !

I have been to the Science Centre and the Gardens by the Bay.
The Science Centre was very interesting and I learned a lot of new knowledge there.
But I like the Gardens by the Bay more than the Science Centre. I think that the Gardens by the Bay is very beautiful. I like the flower dome the most because it contains a large variety of flowers. I felt like walking in a rainforest.
I learned that nature is beautiful and we must protect it. We must protect the environment.I know that our Earth is sick and we must cure it before its too late. I noticed the importance of a healthy Earth.

I have gone to Marina Bay and spent a day there. I even slept there! I also went on the yellow bridge through Garden by the bay. It was a shame that you didn't watch the show in Garde by the bay at night. It was beautiful.

The science centre was awesome and we were spending time on the machine that makes frech OrAnGeJuIcE.Each of them costs 2dollars(about 12HKD)and we spent time on the confusing MirrorMaze. The plants in GardenByTheBay look so beautiful, the catis are all in really weird shape, the bridge is so horrible that there r holes and the 35m water fall is so cool(and cold).MarinaMaySands' view is so good that I can even see the WHOLE Singapore.

The Singapore Science Center was the best of all! There were a lot of interactive parts such as the mirror maze, the heart beat drum and the fear house. And I love the mirror maze the most that i played it for five times! When we first tried the mirror maze, Mr.Richard and I were the first to leave the maze.Do you know why?HAHA!Because we were seperated with the others of our group and we still got back to the same spot when tried to leave the maze.At last,we went left the maze by the emergency exit !!!

Gardens by the Bay was also one of the spot that I like very much.Do you know how much does the Singapore government spent to build Gardens by the Bay?The answer is 16!16 billion!!! I could strongly feel that the Singapore government used a lot to help Singapore to be a green city!

Singapore Science Centre, Gardens by the Bay, and Marina Bay Sands are the most beautiful attractions.
Although I haven't been to Singapore Science Centre before, I think that I can learn many scientific knowledge there (and I will ask my parents to bring me there next time).
Gardens by the Bay, is a purpose-built place for plants. It is the most quiet garden I have ever been to. I really love the fall in the 'woods', but I was totally wet when I passed by.
The 'Spectra Show' in the Marina Bay Sands, is quite memorable to me. I had watched it while travelling on the Singapore River. It is totally free, don't miss it!

Is Gardens By The Bay a green architecture?
Nevertheless , it should be extremely relax because there are different types of plants around you.So RELAXXX!!!

Sorry that I have to rank it, but Day 3 is undoubtedly the best day ever. Just think about it. Science Centre, Gardens by the Bay and the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark, all in one day? It's really incredible(especially when I'm a fan of science)!
And...OH! Remember that maze with countless mirrors? I dare you to go in there alone! Without the help of my peers, I really suspected that I'd probably need a whole morning just to figure the way out! Really, I'm not exaggerating. Just take a look at the video in this website's front page. Trust me, It's like, really hard to get out, and there's also a lot of traps.Yep.
But still...best day ever.
