Our Thematic Group Speaking Team with Adjudicator
Another HUGE congratulations to our Thematic Group Speaking Team, this year coached by Mr Richard. They earned their fourth WINNER in as many years in this difficult category at the Speech Festival, scoring 87.

Our team coach designed the witty theme of "First Place for Second Place", incorporating different texts (including Bible text, Shakespeare, song lyrics, legal text, expository article and his own dramatic writing), to convey the meaning, through a 13-min act, that sometimes being second is better than being first! The originality of this theme was well recognized by the adjudicator, who was also impressed by our team's vocal and acting qualities, as well as the overall arrangements.

Again, very proud of our boys' and teachers' effort to bring our school honours and recognition. Being second isn't always bad but surely, this afternoon, getting the trophy was their best reward!

I had the fortune to watch the final rehearsal before they departed for the competition and they were more than brilliant. It was video recorded of course and will be launched.

Wow ! What a experience , an unforgettable time. I was there , in the thematic group and nothing could have been better ! Not that winning is everything, but we deserved. We all learnt a lot from acting and performing skills , to the importance of teamwork. What a great experience.
Special credits to my teammates, who practised hard alongside each other with visibly great effort. We never coould have accomplished these results without them and their effort.
Here I think we all should thank our coach, Mr Richard , for everything that he put into this , which was more than any of ours , he spent months writing the script, then even more time to train us immature actors, althogh he wasn't on the stage and performing with us, he put the most in thes competition, and I think all of us on the team can agree that Mr Richard is the true hero behind the scenes .
In the end , I thank the whole school for supporting us behind our backs , and in return, we're bringing glory back to it. We're also going to thank you, dear reader for supporting us by reading this article.
Again, WOW the experience this time will never be forgotten,.

It is an awesome experience! I am so glad that I have the opportunity to join this year Thematic speaking group. Thanks Mr. Richard for giving me a change to take part in this competition, also thanks for his effort and patience in teaching us. I have not only learned a lot, but also enjoyed so much. We are so grateful to bring the trophy back again this year.

Wow guys, another win. That's four streaks in a row! What a shame that I can't watch your performances. I am sure that they are fabulous. Keep up the good work and continue to strive for excellence in the drama competitions in the future!

I totally agree with my teammates, the Thematic Group competition was soooo fun,and it was definitely an unforgettable experience.I'm really glad that we can keep the honor of our school by wining yet again. But I think we should learn from the other teams as well, like their team cooperation, their dramatic acts or their chorus. That way, we can 'perfect' ourselves and we can do better next year. Mmmmm... Next year,I would have already graduated...
Anyway ,I hope that Ying Wa can be the champion again in this category, not just this year or next year, but every year!
