I am truly glad to win the 16th China Youth (Hong Kong) Talent Competition. Here I offer you some advice an how to do a good verse speaking.

1. Understand the verse you are performing. Understanding the verse one is performing will not only boost the effect of your facial expressions but also help decreasing the embarrassment when performing. At the start of the performance, one might be nervous and unable to show natural expressions, understanding the verse will help one be more comfortable when on stage and help you get into the character you are performing as within a few lines.

2. Pretend as if no one is there. If you can successfully do the technique mentioned above, you should be able do this task easily. For those who cannot, I recommend you to practice alone for a couple times before you start having audience. When you are practicing alone, you can choose not to say the words out loud, you can just mouth it out and do the expressions.

I hope my advise helped and I am sure you will do well in speech competitions. Remember, "Practice makes perfect."
