[18 Dec] We are glad to have completed a new board design at the G/F corridor under the school theme "The Way". You may refer to the picture above or the actual picture of the board below:

We teachers of different subjects update our boards periodically. However, during the school suspension, students can barely see our new work, therefore, I think our design should better be posted here to share with you!

This time, as we have been having so much fun about street names this year, we are showing you some really creative street names that are actually real! Read the road signs above and their descriptions! I was really surprise knowing the backgrounds of them and I admire the humour of the creators of these names! My personal favourite is "Ha-ha Road". It is so interesting to know that the word "ha-ha" has a meaning of a sunken ditch! What a twist! Next time when I am in London, perhaps I should visit it myself!

Now, boys, which of the above street name is your favourite and why? And do you have any other funny street names or interesting stories with street names that you can share with us?

Stay safe and stay happy ^o^

Dr H C Lee

p.s. Many thanks to Mr Oscar Lum and teaching assistant Miss Yeung for the content and design of the board.

Wow! When I read this,I was astounded. I never knew there was a road called“Chicken Dinner Road”,but what amazed me the most that there’s a road called“Ha-Ha Road”! How do you pronounce“zzyzx”?I’m guessing that this really raises your spirit when you’re unhappy🤣🤣

Wow! I was totally dumbfounded when i saw the " Chicken Dinner Street"! Maybe the person who named the street had been playing PUBG , as the winning phrase of a game is "winner winner , chicken dinner. :)One thing for sure, i would want to eat the chicken dinner cooked by the villagers !

Fascinating! I was totally surprised that when I heard the "Ha-Ha Road". I wish I could visit there and find true happiness.

Let me share a humorous road name now. "Mad Dog Lane" located in Yorkshire, UK. I suppose that the person who named it must have a neighbor who owns a dog the always barks.

Wow! I was amazed when I saw these street names. I especially like the This, That and The Other Street in Canada. Tourists who went there must have been confused! Speaking of confusion, there is actually a place in Nevada, USA called 'Confusion Hill'.

I also found a path in Michigan, USA called 'Psycho Path', which is a private road. Imagine telling people, "Hey, y'know what? During my trip to Michigan, I went to Psycho Path!" I wonder what people would think of you...

Wow! I don’t know that there are so many fascinating and amazing street names. I love the “ Ha-ha Road” the most. I have never heard of it. If I go to London, I will definitely find this road! It is very interesting and humourous! I also found an interesting street name in Hong Kong. It is called the “Water Street” and it is located in Sheung Wan. I was amazed when I saw the name last month. Apparently, in the past, the street used to have a nullah (a concrete-lined channel) in the middle carrying water from the mountains to the harbour so it had the name “Water Street”. It is truly amazing!

It Would be really confusing to live on 'This, That or The Other street' With my abilities of communication, it would probably take less time to walk home than sit in a cab all day arguing with the driver.

I read about a place called 'Boring' in Oregon!>:D In fact, when I googled it, I found a school there called Boring Middle School! Wonder how it got it's name...

My goodness, what a name! I immediately searched for Boring Middle School! It's real! I wonder how they could cleverly use their school name to create a slogan...

All these roads' names are really interesting, but saddly, we can't explore them in real life due to the pandemic. Hopefully this crisis will be over soon so that we can visit them.

These street names are interesting indeed! By the way, I was searching on the web today, and I found this street named 'Booger Hollow Road' in Alabama. I wonder if the guy who named it had big nostrils...

Oh,the names of the street is quite amusing too.You English teachers must be busy about finding the streets .
I like the Rednaxela street. It was for celebrating for a famous people called Alexander, but people in China read words from right to left,so they made poor Mr Alexander into Mr Rednaxela.
Your poster makes all of us laugh and spread out the positive energy to all our Ying Wa boys.I am waiting for the latest poster at school!
