"To Be Continued..." Chapter 4 Launched!

[11 Jan] In Chapter 4, two of our young heroes, Hinson and Chi-yin had a seperate journey from Bong. These two boys stayed in the Underwater Palace as guests but to their surprise, the mermen had another plan! They were trapped in a cell and could only use their wisdom to win back their freedom from a tricky and maths-minded creature - The Octopus, which was guarding them. Could they free themselves and how did they manage to do it? And the dice last time predicted that there should be a new member to their team. So, who might that be? Watch the animated clip again here:
Picture
Picture
The dice this time predict the following: old man, reunion, poetry, double, secret, wisdom

Bong is completely missing in this chapter. Will the two paths converge into one again? Stay tuned and this story is "To Be Continued"...
Now boys, question time. Here are two thoughtful questions for you. Feel free to answer one or both of them:

1. How would you describe the character of the Octopus? Why do you think it was assigned this job to guard the prisoners?
2. Did the merboy harm the heroes at first and then help them? What was going on in the mind of the merboy?

I think that the Octopus is placed as a guard because his boss thinks that he is the only one that knows the Famous "Octo-question ", and the Octopus should have forgotten, that he should kill the prisoners if they didn't answer the question, and even though they did, he shouldn't do anything, and that is a bit funny to an Octopus!

I think that the octopus is not too dumb or smart a little in the middle.I think he was assigned of this job is that he remembers one famous question from the sea king and asked the prisoners to answer the question correctly if done incorrectly the prisoner will be held in solitary confinement but the sea king thought he would just forget it but he doesn't in fact remembers it clearly. It is actually really funny if you ask me.

1.The Octopus was smart but pride because it can ask hard question. I think it was assigned this job to guide the prisoners because it was smart so that the prisoners can't escape. 2.The merboy didn't harm them because the octopus said the leader of mermen want their technological knowledge. The merboy wanted to discover the world so he followed Hinson and Chi-Yin.

I think the octopus is a bit clever but it is mostly stupid, because at the first place it shouldn't let the heroes go just by asking a question, and also it was too concentrated by the question that the heroes asked that it trapped itself in the prison! I think that just because the boss of the octopus had thought it has eight long tentacles,it can catch sneaky prisoners that are escaping with its tentacles and I personally think that the octopus was the cleverest creature there,so that's my explanation.Question two, I think the merboy was tricking them at the first place, but afterwards the heroes encouraged the merboy to help the heroes so it jump in the portal with them, and I think the merboy replaced Bong because Bong is nowhere to be seen.

Q1
I think the octopus is compliance with commitments.Because when Chi-Yin and Hinson answered correctly, he opened the prison door to let them go.Also, the octopus can concentrate well.Because when the octopus was thinking about the question Chi-Yin gave him, the octopus was to concentrated and didn’t know he was locked in the cell.

I think that the merboy put some poisonous stuff or potion into the meal, then why else would he ask Hinson and Chi-yin to eat the food and they just blackout and end up behind bars, and after that, the merboy saved them, which he was just trying to hide the evidence that he is working on the octopus`s side

1. I personally think that the Octopus in the chapter has an arrogant character but also is very clever although it was still outwitted in the end. I think it was placed there to guard Chi-yin and Hinson by the Old Wise Man to test their intelligence and prepare them for the various hard challenges that await them in the future.
2. I think the merboy was possessed by Guawa at one point and put an otherwise lethal poison in their food in order to assassinate the two heroes, but the poison didn’t work and merely gave them a bad stomachache. Afterwards, the merboy regretted his actions and decided to join them in their quest, also seeing the vast world.

Q1: I think that the octopus is being a guard as it knows a difficult question but it is also stupid as it didn’t know that it was locked into the prison. However,it also showed that he has interest in math so that he wouldn’t know that he was locked up.
Q2: I think that the merman will join with Bong,Chi-yin and Hinson as he can call out his family, friends etc to fight with Gawa.

1. I think the octopus is clever but treacherous. It is because it can ask the famous "Octo-question" that puzzled a lot of mermen.
2. I think the merboy harm the heroes at first and then help them. It is because the merboy tell Hinson and Chi-yin to eat the food first ,then the two heroes felt something odd happening to their stomach. Soon after , their visions went blurry. After that , Hinson and Chi-yin found they were locked up. At last , the robot tell them that you cannot use it underwater . At this moment , the merboy came with a snooker ball and cover them so they can use the portal underwater. Maybe the merboy conscience found, so it wanted to help the heroes, therefore it dove into the portal too.

Q1: I think the octopus is absolutely cunning.Because it let the heroes go just by asking a easy question, also it thinks that it was smart just by asking a stupid question. When the heros asked it a hard question,it thinked so hard by the question that the heroes asked and accidentally trapped itself in a prison.I think the reason the boss had invited the octopus to be a guard is because the boss didn’t have enough guards watching the prisoners. The octopus had really long hands, and it should extand its hand through the gap of the prision to catch the heros while they are trying to escape. Why the octopus would make a foolish move?

I think its boss thought humans are dumb so it put the weakest guard to guard them. 2.I think the merboy wanted to test their intelligence so he gave poisonous food to the two heroes and took them to the octopuses. After the merboy saw how smart the heroes were, he helped them get out of the palace and joined them on their adventure.

Q1.I think that the octopus is a rather clever creature because put aside the “Octo-question” ,it probably knows much more math questions. But it is still tremendously prideful and arrogant. (Still, when the octopus said “yes” and agreed to Hinson’s “number pyramid” challenge, we should follow in its steps of determination.)I think that maybe the pendant has a sort of magical power, and maybe the person who ordered the octopus to guard the boys was counting on the octopus figure out how to activate it and perhaps sedate the boys if they got the “Octo-question” wrong. Maybe the octopus was laughing because he figured out how to unlock the pendant’s magic. Fortunately, the robot was faster than his laughing.

Q2. I think that when the merboy put the sedative in Chi-yin and Hinson’s food, he was planning to help them all along. Maybe the sedative was just a time gap to help him think about the million-dollar question: should he help the boys? Maybe the merboy was fascinated about the hula hoop portal, the dice, and the robot. Or, he had been on quests to defeat Gauwa and knew that they would never succeed without his help, so he jumped into the portal with them.

For the first question, I think the Octopus is foolish and arrogant. It is because it said its brainpower is ten times of the two heroes. However, it did not know that the robot helped Chi-yin to answer the 'Octo-question'. Afterwards, Hinson gave a question to the Octopus but it could not answer properly. It even did not realize itself walking into the cell and then Chi-yin got a chance to lock it up. For the second question, I think the merboy set a trap to harm the two heroes as he told them to finish their meal. The two heroes fainted suddenly. Therefore, I believe the merboy adding stun drug in the food. The merboy should be jealous to the two heroes' power. Finally, he considered about the previous rescue from two heroes , so he decided to assist the boys as a token of gratitude.

1 I think the octopus was assigned to the job because his boss thought
that the heroes were dumb, so the boss sent the most incapable octopus to guard the heroes. Also, I think the octopus put chloroform in the food that the heroes were eating. 2 I think the merboy didn’t harm the the heroes at all, and that he was surprised that the heroes fell asleep.

Q1: The Octopus was an arrogant and overconfidence creature. It was assigned to be the guard because it had eight tentacles, so it could catch the prisoners easily if they escaped.

Q2: Yes, the merboy poisoned the heroes at first and then helped them. I think the king forced the merboy to poison the heroes, then he got conscience for what he had done, so he helped the heroes to escape from the Underwater Palace.

I think the octopus is a guard because the king of mermaid think it is too stupid to do something just need to use a brain.
The mermaid boy harmed The hero because it think he is here to attack them. But it stop harming the heroes because it realized that the heroes is not here to attack them so the mermaid boy helped them.

I think it was assigned because it is smart and speedy. If the prisoners escape it can squeeze thought small openings and can change its body color to follow the prisoners. Also, it has a top swimming speed of 40 km/h so it can catch the prisoners when they escape. It can suck water into its mantle cavities and then squeezes it out of a tube at the front of its mantles to catch the prisoners.

I think the octopus is clumsy because it should not agree to let Hinson and Chi-yin out of the prison when they answer the question correctly, and trap itself in the prison cell accidentally. Octopus assigns to guard the prisoner with it beaked mouth, it can exhale the ink when the prisoner escape from the prison cell.

1.I think the octopus is arrogant and stupid, because he said his brain is ten times bigger then the heroes. Yet, he goes inside the prison himself and got locked up, and still thinking why the heroes could solve the ‘Octo-question’. The octopus was assigned the job to guard the prisoners because he has eight tentacles to catch the heroes from escaping.
2.Yes,I suspect the merboy was the one who added the poison to the food to make them sleep. Later he helped them escape the maze by using a bubble.I think that the merboy was trying to get something from the heroes.

1.The Octopus is an arrogant and impulsive creature, because it thinks Chi-Yin and Hinson are stupid and it thinks that it is cleverer than anyone else. The Octopus is also clever but in some points,it is a bit stupid, as it knows the the Octo-question which can puzzle a lot of mermen ,however,it sets the two boys free which is an irreversible fault.Maybe the Octopus boss thinks the Octopus 🐙 is clever enough and trustworthy to guard such important prisoners.

2. Yes, he did.The merboy followed his boss's order and drugged these two boys at first, later, the merboy might think that the quest of the 2 boys was meaningful, so the merboy decided to join in their quest to find the ways of defeating Guawa.

He also went into the prison cell carelessly as he was thinking the answer of the pyramid question. His boss told the octopus to guard the heroes because the octopus is the most fierce guard and the most clever guard among all the guards.
2.I think the merboy did harm the heroes because he wanted to go on an adventure and go over the world. But the merboy think himself is dump so he put poison liquid into the heroes' food and make the heroes in danger and save the heroes to let the heroes think he is not dumb.

Question 1
I think the Octopus is clever as a dophin. It knows the popular and difficult "Octo-question". It thinks Maths is as easy as ABC.
I think the Octopus is obedient because it follows its boss instructions to guard Hinson and Chi-yin carefully. It puts the key on his neck to safeguard the prison.
But i think it is too arrogant. Although it is smart, it can't answer the question from Hinson and it is being locked in the prison cell. It is such a careless guard as it don't know the key fell no the floor.

Question 2
I think the merboy harmed the heroes as he keep asking them to eat the food. But they are fainted finally.
The merboy is kind enough and give some hints to Chi-yin and Hinson to find the way to kill Gauwa.

Q1. I think that the Octopus is evil and immoral. He laughed at the two heroes of their ignorance and locked them without any reason. Moreover, the Octopus is dumb that it just let the 'prisoner' out because they solved an easy math question. However, it got stucked with the pyramid question and it did not even notice that itself had got into the jail. At last, it is intriguing that the Octopus was assigned as the guard. How come his boss can employ such arrogant and careless, asinine Octopus as the guard? It just rely on a single 'Octo-question' to keep 'prisoner' there.
Q2. For the second question, I think that the merboy had harm them ,or else he would not urge them to eat faster. He should put some poisonous in the meal! For why the merboy had followed the two heroes, he may be a minister of Gauwa and tell Gauwa about the sacred items that the heroes found, and let him to have some preparation to defeat the three heroes.

Q1
I think the octopus isn’t clever enough to be a prison guard, though he has a tricky question, he isn’t smart enough to answer the tricky “ pyramid math question”

Q2
I think the merboy didn’t hurt the two heroes. Chi-yin’s robot had helped the mermen understand the man with the cup handle and thus thanking him. I think they gave Hinson and Chi-yin this feast as a thank you gift as the heroes had helped them. And the merboy was curious and also wanted to help the two heroes back - without knowing about Hinson and Chi-yin, that’s why he jumped into the hula hoop portal.

I think the octopus is stupid because it thinks the octo-question is very difficult and nobody can answer it. The octopus is arrogant too. It underestimates others’ wisdom. Also it is very careless that it doesn‘t realize the robot. The octopus was assigned this job to guard the prisoners because it has a fierce face and its boss thinks it has a big head which its brainpower is ten times of the human beings. Also, it has eight long tentacles that can cath sneaky prisoners easily.

Q1. I think the octopus is an arrogant and not a thoughtful guard. It thinks itself to be very smart and its brain power to be better than all the other people in the world. So, when Hinson gives out the question, the octopus is so confident that it immediately says yes without thinking whether this is a trap or not. And it does not know there is a technology robot in the world which is super powerful. I think the merman king asks the octopus to guard the prisoners because the merman king may also think the octopus to be the smartest sea creature in the underwater. Also, the octopus has eight long tentacles. So, the octopus can easily catch the prisoners who try to escape.

Q2. I think the merboy does not want to harm the heroes at first, but he is being forced by the merman king who wants to get the technology robot. Therefore, the merboy has no choice but he needs to poison the two heroes to make them faint. After poisoning the two heroes, the merboy feels guilty. So finally, the merboy helps the two heroes so that they can complete the mission and the merboy can also escape from the merman king.

Students, do you know Octopuses are very intelligent? They can imitate their environment by modifying the colour and even the texture of their skin. They can use their vision and camouflage skills to hunt, and their arms to explore, touch and taste their environment to seize every bit of food within reach.

They might be boneless but they aren't "brainless". Many researches showed that they have "future planning abilities". Such as clearing obstacles or getting away from dangers.

I would love to see Mr. Octopus appears later if there is a chance!:)

I think the Octopus is very foolish. It is because it thinks it is very smart but it did not notice that when Hinson gave him the question he was too busy thinking about it that he did not notice he wandered into the cell. I think the reason the Octopus got chosen as a guard by the mermaid King is because it is not too strong but not too weak.Sharks happen to be too destructive and fish are too wimpy and weak.
