"To Be Continued..." Chapter 5 Launched!

3/1/2022

[28 Feb] Chapter 5 has arrived! Did you get any inspiration from Na Na's "secret code" you received earlier? Here in this fifth chapter, Bong explores the weird underground place further and discovered the "office" of the Old Wise Man, who finds Bong knowing a little too much...In a different zone, Chi-yin, Hinson and the merboy went to a museum in London. There, they experience a very special contest where they get more than one sacred item! The end of their quest is getting closer and closer! Watch the episode again here:
Picture
Picture
The dice this time predict the following: confusion, doors, recovery, search, warning, corner

Only one more item to find! But Bong looks somewhat odd here when he returned to the group.  Stay tuned and this story is "To Be Continued"...
Picture
Click the symbol for Na Na's special video.
Some of you are really getting so close to breaking the code...You just need to see it in a "different" way. But hang on, even if you can "see" it, do you really "understand" it?
Now boys, question time. Here are two thoughtful questions for you. Feel free to answer one or both of them:

1. Have you got any idea what happened to Bong in the period after meeting the Old Wise Man and before Bong reunited with the team? Explain your thought.
2. Hinson and the merboy improvised their poem and it was a success. In your life, have you ever "improvised" anything (creating something immediately without planning) which brought you some success? Share your story here!

Q1.I think it had something to do with the pipa, otherwise the narrator would not have intentionally mentioned it. I think that we can all agree that the Wise Old Man is actually a baddie or this is an imposter. I think the pipa has a sort of magical power that can hypnotize a person Maybe in the period of time of meeting the Wise Old Man, he hypnotized Bong. The magic needed a while to kick in, and when he was walking back, the Wise Old Man took control. That would explain the mysterious appearance. And I think that the portal was rigged to teleport them face to face to the devil himself, since red is the devil's colour. Maybe the dice was rigged to cause them misfortune, to lead them on the wrong track. That is my personal opinion.

Q2. Yes, I have tried to improvise something which brought to success, and it was when I was competing in the 21st Century Cup Competition. After reciting your speech about a topic, the judges would ask you two questions that you didn't know and you had to make an answer immediately and tell the judges in 45 seconds. When they asked me the questions, my brain's gears started turning and shifting, trying to improvise an answer. Luckily, I improvised my own answers in time and and got second place ! I strongly encourage my classmates, my little brothers, and my big brothers in Ying Wa to do more exercises related to improvising, because it strengthens the mind and makes your reactions more faster. Thanks !

Something additional: Thank you Dr Lee for giving me the opportunity to participate in the 21st Century Cup, I really enjoyed it and learned a lot from you! 🥰🥰And I just wanted to say that I love the TBC series and videos, and I can't wait for the next one ! (*^ω^*)

I think the old wise man is actually not a good person ,(maybe he is sent out by gauwa)he want to attack bong by the soldier to faint it and tie him up like nana but since the soldiers don't have weapons and Bong is quite strong he used the pipa to attack them and the old wise man. Then he found a portal in his room and left.

Second prediction: gauwa took the old wise man's body to pretend to be him then tell the soldier to hold bong use his pipa(with mysterious power)to hypnotize Bong in order to get into bong's body. he used his own customized portal to find Hinson and Bong ,he act wierd land know everything about the merboy, and Bong roll the dice and warning stands for its not the real bong and "search" means finding bong.the weird colur of the hoop might bring them into a dangerous place and the hoop is bigger might be because it's customized by Gauwa, so it definetly will have some changes with the real hoop.

1. I think the old wise controlled Bong with the magical power of the pipa. When he returned to his friends, he looked so weird. His smile was wicked, he seemed to know everything. He got the dices and the colour of the hula hop changed. I guess the old wise man is Gauwa.

1. I think the Old Wise Man is evil, partnering with Gauwa and probably just making up the story of the special items so he can send the heroes to feed Gauwa, as he has tempered Bong's mind by acting so weird after the encounter with the Old Wise Man (aka the "manager").
2. Gauwa might be morphed into the Old Wise Man to hypnotize bong into betraying his teammates. This would explain why Bong was acting so weird after meeting

1.I think that the old wise man was Guawa and he was there to test if the boys are strong enough and also I think that the pipa may have some mysterious magic power inside. At last, Bong became so mysterious because the real Bong was kidnapped by the old wise man (Guawa) and the old wise man pretended Bong.

2. I have tried to improvise something which came to failure. I was one day I was playing soccer with my friends and my teammate got hurt and I have to go on and take a penalty that I didn’t expected and missed it.

Q1I think Bong would be in danger. The old wise man could attack with his instrument—pipa. He wasn’t the real Bong as the real Bong wasn’t that intelligent and he couldn’t know what was the background of the Merboy. Moreover, Bong wouldn’t find his teammates in a sudden.

1. I think that the Old Wise Man became evil seeing the sight that his warriors captured Nana, and when Bong came into his room he got turned evil by the Old Wise Man too. His sudden re-appearance at the poetry place was shown maybe because the Old Wise man told him that his friends are there. Usually the portal glows purple, but it glowed red the time Bong pushed him. Maybe because Bong is leading the other teammates to a dangerous place, including one of the dice listing "warning". Plus, I think that he is being possessed by Guawa now with his unnerving weird grin.

2.Yes, I have improvised something before. One time I was just going to eat breakfast with my family and I saw that they had a Crayola drawing competition. I decided to join and I got first place! I didn't practice or whatsoever, and still got the prize. The prize was a set of a Crayola drawing kit. I still have it to date.

Q1: I think that the old wise man is possessed by Gauwa. Therefore, he has access to the pipa's secret power and hypnotized Bong. Bong's portal and and dice would lead them to a trap so they can't defeat Gauwa.

1. I think the Old Wise Man was Gauwa,so that was why every team of heroes die facing Gauwa since there was actually no Old Wise Man,and I think Bong was possessed by dark magic and became a minion of darkness, just like every other hero which failed to defeat Gauwa.

2) Yes, I have tried to improvise something which brought me to success. I was in a naming contest, and I had to name a doctor's name. I then was thinking Dr. Smith for it but I didn't know how to spell it. So I spelled "Simth". I was lucky enough that I got the "Most Creative Name" price.

1. I believe that The Old Wise man was actually Guawa and he pretended to be Bong to get close to his team while he locked up Bong in his place. As the hoop became red and larger which shouldn’t be natural or normal, it is clear to see that it was not the normal Bong after considering on all his behaviours.

Q.1 I think that the Old Wise Man was Gauwa's minion and he first trapped Bong in the pipa and his hoop was stolen to help the Old Wise Man to find the last sacred item, which must have been the most pivotal one. Then he commanded one of his soldiers to be Bong's imposter to steal the other items, and after that, he led the imposter to where Hinson, Chi-yin and the merboy are-using the portal, of course-and started to hunt for the last sacred item, also using the portal. The red hoop was not to lead them to the last sacred item, but to send them to Forgottenland's mausoleum, where they will be trapped into the pipa, like Bong.
P.S. I would like to explain the usage of the sacred items. They are power items to strengthen a person(or maybe Gauwa.)

Q1: I think that the Old Wise Man was actually Gauwa in disguise. The Terracotta Warriors might be the other warriors that have tried to fight Gauwa prior to the trio. The reason that Bong was acting suspicious when he met up with Hinson, Chi-yin and the Merboy was because he was possessed by Gauwa, just like how he did on the Old Wise Man.

I think Guawa attacked the forgotten land when they were on chapter 4, so Guawa took the old wise man's soul, and pretended to be the Old Wise Man. Then, when Bong meets the old wise man, gauwa's soul went into Bong and the old wise man died because of no souls. Then, that's how Bong act weird.

Q1:This is a very interesting (sus) chapter. There is a lot of stuff going on and more importanly, the sudden twist that the Old Wise Man hadn't told Hinson, Bong and Chi-yin what is the full story. Now, after the "Bong" renuited with his teammates, It is DEFINITELY not the real Bong, and that is obvious because of his strange acts. Oh, and I have evidence of that because in chapter 4, one of the dice says "double" which is the fake "Bong". Now, what happened to the REAL Bong? Well, the most striaghtforward answer is that he is trapped in the mausoleum with Nana, or hyptonized by the Old Wise Man.
Now, we have to look at the bigger picture: Why the Old Wise Man didn't tell the heores about the truth that there was a hidden area at forgotteland, and----is the Old Wise Man Guawa? Well, although it is too early to tell, I think the Old Wise Man is evil. He wants the pipa for a reason, and when Nana stole it, he told the soldiers to capture her. According to the citzens, the Old Wise Man is the "Manager", the guardian of the mausoleum. So, I don't think the citzens know the real identity of the "Manager".Lastly, I don't think the Old Wise Man is Guawa, but rather than being Guawa sidekick, luring the heroes into the "Red Portal" which we can see when the fake "Bong" pushed the heroes in it.We can also see that the fake "Bong" is being eager to push them into the red portal, as if they are running out of time.
As mentioned in chapter 1, all of the heroes who tried to defeat Guawa died in vain. I think the Old Wise Man set up the same trap every time, taking one hero away then sending a fake one to lure them to dangerous places, or even to the place where Guawa is at.What will happen? What is the truth? We can only wait and see.

Note: This is only a prediction guys don't take it too seriously.

Q1. I think the wise old man trapped Bong, hypnotised him, gave him the evil items which are the hoop and dice. Bong seemed to be smiling in a very suspicious manner, and he was also friendly to his teammates, which seemed to be strange as he hated them. Finally, he pushed his friends in a red hoop. Bong might have done that if he wasn’t controlled as he is the kind of person who is impatient. However, the hoop is red. This is an evil colour, so I think the portal might actually lead them to Guawa without collecting enough items.

Q1.I think the old wise man is actually Guawa, as he trapped Bong in the tomb. At first Bong maybe furious, but the old wise man kept hypnotised him and Bong became unstable. He believed what the old wise man said and looked the items——the hula hoop and the dices. That's why when Bong returned, he looked friendly to his teammates like at first. His face appeared mysterious smiles when no one was looking at him. He maybe controlled by the old wise man.Or maybe the old wise man was one of Guawa's helper, because it said 'All hero who went to defeat Guawa died in vain, it maybe the old wise man using the same trick to trick the three young heroes again.

I think that maybe Bong was not cooperating with other teammates, so he decided to discover by himself which he also have a portal and the dice. Then, he discovered that the tower is a hidden part of Forgottenland. So, i suspicious that it is only an secret adventure which was planed by the old wise man.

Q1. I think that the whole story of Guawa was actually fake, the old wise man made this story just to lead hem to this castle, you see, in the first chapter, it was said that nobody have made it out alive after defeating Guawa, that means that there is a chance that the old wise man set up this trap for a reason, and I think the reason is because he wanted the pipa, I think the pipa has some magical powers in it, but every time he tries to make different people to help him get the pipa, it is stolen again. Well this is just a theory, what will actually happen next? We don’t know until the next chapter.

Q1:
After Bong found the old wise man, he suddenly appeared in the British Museum. This is completely not logical. Firstly, in the manager room, Nana was tied up on the floor and when Bong asked the old wise man what was happening, the soldiers rounded him. And when Hinson and Merboy saw Bong. Bong acted strangely and he took another set of dices and a hoola hoop glooming with red light. The old wise man maybe was Guawa or Guawa’s assistance who wanted to catch the heros or bring them to another secret place.

I think the old wise man was actually a spy. He may be close to Gauwa and he was his assistant. If this was true, Gauwa might come and used his "monster smell" to control Bong's mind before Bong reunited with the team. If Gauwa's smell could make people feel negative, I think he could also control people's mind.
P.S. Nana might know the truth, so the Old Wise Man tied her up.

Q1: I think that the old wise man was also hypnotised by Guawa ( since the beginning ) as the old wise man attacked the person ( Nana ) who had one of the seven items, trying to get back the items, so after the old wise man saw Bong, he hypnotised Bong to try to lead the team to a extremely dangerous place to get back the items. Because of this , Bong was given a evil hula hoop and a set of evil dices ( believed to be stolen from the past heroes ).

Q1
First, I think Bong was hypnotized by Old Wise Man, because his facial expression became weird after that, like being controlled. Second, it's impossible for Bong to know the identity of the little mermaid. Because Bong is the first I saw him for the first time, but Bong seems to have seen the little mermaid long ago and knew his hidden identity. Third, I suspect that Old Wise Man is the final big boss, because not only did he not tell anyone that Forgottenland has a hidden Land, also claimed to be the ruler there, so I'm extremely suspicious of Old Wise Man, also implied from Nana's expression.

Q1. I have a theory about the truth, which is the Bong we saw in the end of chap.5 is fake or hypnotised. Whichever is it, it won’t be the real Bong due to his odd actions. How is the fake Bong created or the real Bong hypnotised you say? Of course by the pipa because music are proved to be one of the most common way to hypnotise someone. But there is still a question which confused me: In chap.3, Nana played the pipa but Bong was not affected. Why? My conclusion is because the pipa was played by the wise old man, which brings us to another subject. Being the most mysterious character in the story, I am confident that he has a relationship between Gauwa. Do anyone ever noticed that in special event like eg. The English Ying Wa anniversary video, when wise old man appears, there is always a small scene of Gauwa beside the old wise man? This may not be a great evidence, but the old wise man is not giving us a great impression in chap.5. At last, here is a question which I thought when writing this text: we know that from the start, the purpose of the hero to defeat Gauwa is to save the citizens of Forgottenland from “The Monster’s Breath”, which gives people bad feelings in case you forgot about that. But with the wise old man being suspicious and Gauwa giving us a not-so-bad impression, would the smell be fake or related to the tomb? Guess we only find out that after solving the symbol. So if you know what the symbol means, comment below so the mystery can come to an conclusion. At last, this is just a theory, so do not be so concern about this and think that it is true. Thx!

I love reading your detailed theories. It's all about thinking, guessing and predicting. That's the fun of this "To Be Continued..." story. I particularly like that you said the pipa has a hypnotizing power when played by the Old Wise Man. When you do pay attention to details as seen when you noticed Gauwa from the anniversary video. I am not saying that your theories are right but in any case I love your attitude as an "active viewer" of this story.

This is quite a turnaround for the story. We see that the old man is actually an evil character, and he seems to have controlled Bong to trick the other teammates. I have two theories to explain what happened to Bong:
1) The pipa theory
My thought of this is obvious. As we see in many other stories, the “enemy” character usually hypnotises one of the heroes to serve as undercover for the baddies. The Old Wise Man, referring to his name, might have used the same Wise strategy to Bong. When having approached the Old Man, he used the pipa to turn the boys into the “strange” Bong. Then, hypnotised Bong will send information to the Old Man.
2) The disguise theory
This is a uncommon theory, but can the Old Wise Man transform into and impersonate Bong? The answer is certainly possible. That’s right. What if the “Bong” the teammates are seeing aren’t necessarily Bong? My theory is The Old Wise Man knew some kind of transformation skill (why wouldn’t he, reminding you he also has control of an entire army) to lure other teammates into his deadly trap.

P.S I don’t think Old Wise Man was Gauwa, because he didn’t have the “Monster Breath”. Otherwise, the boys could have found out the secret at the very first day.

Hope you liked my response!

Q.1 I think that Gauwa went to forgotten land and stole the old wise man's body, and he secretly 'became' the old wise man. Next, he caught Nana as a bait to make Boong appear. When Bong came up to his( Gauwa's) palace,he caught him and maybe washed his memory about forgotten land and told him he was his subordinate, and he had to catch Hinson, Chi-Yin, robot and the merboy. I think that the portal which was extremely large and was shining red light actually leads to a prison. He forced them in by pushing them in, so they were forced into a gigantic prison. And Bong was told that after he pushed them, he had to jump in too, then his memory will come back.
*all these are only my theory, do not take these way too seriously
Q.2 Once, my scout leader told me that a group activity that we had to help had to be 1 month early because of some special reasons, and the activity was the day after the evening I received the message, but we still had some technical problems, so our group had to have an emergency meeting later that night, and we had to make a lot of decisions immediately, so we paniced a lot.

1. I think that the whole Gwaua is fake that the old wise man wanted to trick people and kill them at last. Also I think that Bong was controlled by the old wise man(or even Nana) so that Bong went to the Gallery and found them that fast. He also knew the the merboy’s background and everything. So I am sure this isn’t the real Bong.

Q1: I think Guawa hypnotised the old wise man at the beginning because Guawa need the items to reach some kind of goal. Guawa told the old wised man to tell Bong, Chi-yin and Hilson to find the items for him. Guawa had the last item so he told the old wise man to capture the boys when the boys found the other six items.

Q1:
We all know that The Old Wise Man is actually the baddie or villain , because he has a very big relationship with Gauwa, eg. The ABC for sports, every time The Old Wise Man appears, there is always a small Gauwa at the back. And he hypnotized Bong with the glorious pipa , and Bong became bad and knew how to find his teammates . The Old Wise Man washed Bong's brain, so Bong could know the merboy's identity even if the merboy didn't introduce himself. Also, the red hula hoop portal means bad. And Bong's dice will lead them to nowhere.

I think that Bong was brain-washed by the Old Wise Man, as the Old Wise Man himself is actually Gauwa. After Bong met the Old Wise Man, he found the team with a weird grin, I believe the reason that Bong had the weird grin is that he is in a spell or something, which made him spy on his teammates.

Q1) I think that Bong was being locked in the Old Wise Man's room and the fake Bong was actually the Old Wise Man. The Old Wise Man is actually Gauwa and that is why all the heros that tried to defeat Gauwa had failed. The fake Bong has weird expressions and portal so it is easy to tell that it is not the real Bong. The weird portal may lead Chi-yin, Hinson and the Merboy to Gauwa when they don't have all the sacred items. It may also lead them to a death trap. I think all the other heros had died to this trick so they had never succeeded.

1. I think that the Old wise man was actually Guawa in disguise, and the real Old wise was captured by Guawa. During Guawa and Bong’s meeting, maybe Guawa convinced Bong to join his side, rigging the dice so that it would lead them into a death trap. Maybe that’s why the portal glowed red, symbolising danger, and Bong knew the merboy’s secret identity.

1:I think Bong met Gauwa, which has pretended to be the old wise man over the years.it can’t be anyone else as he spoke with forgottenland’s accent. The legends about Gauwa might not be true and the ‘monster’s breath’ could be some chemical gases made by Gauwa. That also explains why endless heroes cannot defeat Gauwa as ‘the old wise man’ would crush their dreams at the end, Gauwa was ‘selecting’ heroes to defeat himself and kill them so he is basically immortal.

For Question 1,I have some of these theories as reference(Don't blame me for drawing inferences wrongly).
The pipa theory:It is the most common theory for most of us.I think that the old "wise" man played the pipa in order to hypnotize Bong and Na Na.The question is in Chapter 3 Na Na has also played the pipa.
The disguise theory(Thanks to Isaac Cheung from 6E):A solder was disguised as Bong with a special potion. It means that Bong is still in somewhere in the underground palace.Maybe Bong might plan to escape somehow in Chapter 6.
The potion theory(my theory):Bong was forced to drink a special potion which only cure is on the old "wise" man.In order to get the cure,Bong decided to put his friends in danger FOR A WHILE and save them later. The line" 'Anyway,it's time for us to move on'Bong said HURRIEDLY"means that Bong needs the cure badly. The suspicious and weird smile might be a cramp(a cramp is a sudden pain of your muscles, often happens when people does exercise without warm-ups),which may be a side effect of the special potion.

I don't really think that the old wise man was the beastly Guawa.(Thanks for Vincent Chan from 6B).He has no scent of the so-called"monster's breath".A possible theory is the old wise man is one of Guawa's allies,so that he has some of Guawa's power.

Yes, in grade five, I improvised for the oral speaking exam. In my oral speaking exam, I improved a couple sentences. When I practice at home, I can usually speak more than the bare minimum. But, for some reason, I was apprehensive that day, and I spoke quickly. I couldn't hear the bell when I completed speaking my text, so I improvised a few sentences and passed the exam.

01. Firstly, I do not agree that the pipa has the power to hypnotize people. Because if that was the case, Bong would be hypnotized when listening to NaNa playing a soft tune while she was talking together beside the Silver Lake.
There is a high chance that the pipa may be the last object so the old wise man has to collect it. But why?
It may be that the sacred items is a trick set up by the OWM(old wise man) to befuddle the heroes. The sacred items may not be sacred at all and just there to lead the heroes off-track. The robot may be also a spy sent by Guawa just like our dear OWM. And the Bong is just a DOUBLE to fool the heroes .
The heroes before them were killed by not by the OWM but by the sacred items. (Just a guess)the pipa could trap people inside it, the fish tail would act like a knife, the page of a book would be used to keep a record (For Guawa) of who he killed, the C shaped item would be used to crush them to death (same as the bell guard), while the broken key may act as a dagger. So all heroes were not killed by Guawa, but the items they found(probably cause Guawa was too lazy ).

1. I think after the meeting, the Old Wise Man discovers the magic of the Pipa, which can let a person transfer to another place instantly and transform into another person. That’s why he appeared suddenly and knew the identity of the merboy; the Old Wise Man was a person with knowledge, you know.
Now, let me explain two strange things in this chapter: firstly, the red light in the portal. It appeared because they would be going to a dangerous place for the Old Wise Man to challenge them and enhance their teamwork and ability to tackle difficult situations. He saw that Bong’s temper was often not very good, so I think in the meeting the Old Wise Man also gave Bong some advice on what to do when facing these problems. Secondly, the awkward facial expression of Bong. I think the Old Wise Man imagined that Bong was somebody who had an appearance like that, so he seemed very strange. In the end of this chapter, the narrator said that Bong was expecting a smile from the team, so Bong (the Old Wise Man) didn’t know that they would sense the difference.

Q1 I think the old wise man was kidnapped and replaced by gauwa’s minion or by gauwa himself. Then, he went into the tower with the soldiers, wiped the memory of the receptionist and then either bribed the manager to give him the position of manager, or he simply kidnapped the manager with the power of those soldiers. Then, using a tracker he put down at the start of the story to find the remaining heroes, he trapped the real bong and shape shifted into him and modified the hula hoop so he could control it. Then he used it to find and trap the remaining 2 heroes

Q1. Bong might have been hypnotized by the Old Wise Man. I'm not sure why he would do that, but he might've been kidnapped by Gauwa or one of his minions and has been replaced by someone that can shapeshift. They also replaced Bong with a shapeshifting creature that made itself look like Bong. I'm not sure why Hinson or Chi-yin didn't notice as Bong's behavior was very eccentric and it wasn't normal as we had seen in the last few chapters. Bong does not act like this.
Q2. There are a few times where I made a few mistakes in the recordings I had to do for homework, so I had to improvise and add a bit of stuff I came up with in the moment so it made sense. I did have to cancel the recording and restart as I kept stuttering in the end.

1. Firstly, I do not believe that the Old Wise Man is evil in any way. In the prologue, the Old Wise Man gave the boys the robot and the hula-hoops. When the boys left Forgotten Land, he let out a sigh, and that should not be the response of a man who actually is evil. The "Old Wise Man" in the room should not be the real one. I don't think that the Old Wise Man could time-travel and convince the soldiers to help him. I think that the "Old Wise Man" there should be Gauwa. Now, Gauwa is an an "ancient evil" according to the prologue, and also according to the prologue, which says," the air had been filled with a mysterious scent for the past hundreds of years that took away the cheerfulness from the residents" So, I believe that either Gauwa turned into the Old Wise Man, or took away its body. His scent, which is immune to ghosts, could of taken over Bong and allowing the monster to control him. That is why Nana is crying when he saw Bong. FIrstly, that might be her fault, she gave Bong the hint for something. That might be the reason of "Old Wise Man's" quote,"Come here my boy. You seemed to have found a secret which should be beyond your reach." That might be Gauwa realising that Bong acquired information which could be crucial to beat him. That is why Gauwa decided to hypnotize Bong with his scent. That is also why Bong is awkward after meeting the other three and pushed the three into the portal and why Bong knew the merboy's name, the octopus on chapter four could know the names of the mermans. One other thing to mention is that the portal showed off a red light instead of a purple light. That portal might be taking the trio to another place instead of collecting the seventh item, either that Gauwa wanted to quickly face off the three. Maybe the three would both knock out Bong from the spell and also acquire the seventh item at the same time.

Then he transported Bong to the place where the other members of the team are, using a magical detector. He forced Bong to put the fake hula hoop in front of the other members of the team. I think maybe the father of the merboy may be a servant of Gauwa too! As he locked up Hinson and Chi-yin in the previous chapter and he knew the name of the merboy and passed the information to Gauwa. The merboy may be a spy of Gauwa too! I think the hula hoop will transport the members of the team back to the room where Bong was caught together with Na Na. Then Gauwa could catch all the members of the team at last.

First, the old wise man might be working for Gauwa secretly, his duty is to report the three boys' position and what are they doing, and also I think that the robot is the device that the old wise man is using to notice everything about the three boys as he gave them when they start their journey at first. Second, I think that Gauwa and the old wise man in this chapter is the same person, he locked up the real old wise man and brainwashed Bong and controlled him to bring the remaining two members of the team to him and lock up all of them.

The Old Wise Man might be in control of all the things and Gauwa was a robot, which is controlled by the Old Wise Man. In addition, Bong seems to be torn apart from the other teammates, so the Old Wise Man chose Bong to be the victim and to let the other three (including the new merboy teammate) not find out the reality behind it. And the Old Wise Man might have done the same thing to the teams fighting Guawa but told the other citizens of Forgottenland that the heroes were defeated by Guawa.

I think Bong was caught by the Old Wise Man and was locked at the tallest tower of the mausoleum with Nana. The worriers kept a close watch on Bong and Nana. Also, I think The Old Wise Man disguised himself as Bong and reunited with the team. It is because the video said "Bong" showed an unnaturally exaggerated grin and the hoop portal looked bigger than before. Meanwhile, "Bong" tossed another set of dice and he became much more confidence than before. That's why I think that he was not the real Bong, actually he was the Old Wise Man.

1. I think the reason behind why Bong is acting weird is because the old wise man can shapeshift into who he wants, and manipulating Bong. So maybe Bong was knocked out cold or got poisoned by the old wise man and got trapped inside his room having lots of guards guarding the door.

Q1. I think Bong talked to the Old Wise Man and found that he was Gauwa-the monster that they are looking for. Then, Old Wise Man told Bong to join his team and defeat Hinson and Chi-yin for a huge amount of money.

Q1. I think Bong would be in danger. The Old Wise Man brainwashed Bong with a piece of strange music by playing his pipa and controlling him to bring Hinson and Chi-yin to him.

Q.1 I think the old wise man was controlled by Gauwa, since he want to attack Bong by the soldiers. Also, I think the real "Bong" was locked at the tallest tower of the mausoleum and the "Bong" who found Hinson and Chi-yin was the old wise man.

1. I think Bong was invited to the underwater place where the merboy came from. It was because someone in the underwater place might told Bong the merboys name.

2.Yes, I have improvised something in my life. I improvised the answer of the questions that principle Lam asked me when i was interviewing Ying Wa Primary School! And I answered the question correctly and I am in Ying Wa Primary School now!

I think that The Old Wise Man turned Bong into evil and made Bong work for him.It was because Bong found out the secret of The Old Wise Man so The Old Wise Man needed to make Bong not to tell his friends about this.

1. I think The Old Wise Man is Gauwa's subordinate. He wants to kill all the bravest people in the city, so that Gauwa will rule the city easily.

1. I think that the old wise man is not trying to help them because he turned bong evil. He might be helping another organization, or even worse, gauwa. He turned bong evil because he doesn't want anyone to know his secrets.

1. I think the old wise man jailed Bong and used something to let him look like Bong, then he went to the museum and "reunioned" with Hinson and Chi-Yin.

2. Yes, I have improvised something in my life before which brought me some success. When I was P3, I have a homework of writing a piece of creative writing, the title was "James and The Giant Peach new version". I was thinking for the writing for an hour, but I still don't have any progress on it. Suddenly, I thought of "Three Little PIgs" in my mind, I took up my pencil and wrote immediately, "This story is about the adventure of the three little pigs who were inside of a giant pineapple, running away from the big wolf who tried to eat them..."

Q2: Yes, I have improvised things which have brought me some success. For example, my mother was taking photos at a reservoir where she was sitting on top of some big rocks. All of a sudden, her hand slipped, and her phone fell and was lodged between two big rocks, and it was not easy to reach it. I immediately thought of an idea. I binded a cloth hanger and a broom nearby using some duct tape, and proceeded to hook the phone out of the rocks, solving the problem.

I think the old wise man was gauwa, and the pipa was a magic item for controlling someone. For example, i think the old wise man controlled Bong with the pipa so bong appeared so unusual that time.

Q2. Yes, I have improvised something before and it was a success as the result. One day, when I was playing with my friends, we were bored of doing the same thing again and again, so we decided to improvise and create a new game. Using the given items, I improvised well, thought of a new game, and played happily together.

Q1. I think that the receptionist was one of Guawa's helpers or assistants. Maybe when the old wise man went in to the mausoleum, he got charm speaked by the receptionist and sided with Gauwa. But the hula-hoop sensed trouble, and immediately teleported Bong to help the old wise man, but unfortunately, he was already under the control of Gauwa. Later on when Bong arrived to save the old wise man, though he didn't know it himself, he also got charm-speaked by the receptionist and sided with Gauwa. When he arrived at the manager's room, he probably wasn't infected yet by the charmspeak, but after his brief conversation with the old wise man, his thoughts started to get messy and was once again controlled by Gauwa.

Q2. Yes, I have once succeeded kin improvising. I remember clearly where my sister was playing the piano, she sat on the left side of the chair and played the chords and the lower part of the music,. I sat on the right side of the chair, not knowing what to do, so I just improvised some random music and somehow worked.

Q2. Yes, I have. I once tried to improvise a song while I was riding on a long-trip bus. It ended up successfully which I recorded it and played it every time when I feel boring. I also made the list of the lyrics so that my little sister could also learn how to sing.

Q1: I think what happened was that the receptionist was an ally of Gauwa, the receptionist somehow convinced Bong to go upstairs to find the old wise man. But he was already possessed by Gauwa and had no control of himself. Bong later received some kind of shock therapy while he was "imprisoned" and was later controlled by Gauwa.

Q2: Once in an exam presentation, I figured that the original script that I prepared wasn't good enough and I made something up on the spot.

Q2, yes, I have improvised something that brought me sucess. It was a Technology competition that I paticipated with Issac. After we present our work, the judges will ask you some questions about how you made the work, or how did we thought of this idea. And at last, we got the third place of the competition
