[11 Nov] Thanks so much for our boys' support. The English Department's video, "Ying Wa 202 Challenge", was voted to be the Most Popular Video this year for our school's 202nd anniversary. This repeats last year's result when the clip "Ying Wa 201 Challenge" won the popular vote.
Voting started yesterday, 10 Nov, when all six videos from various departments were ready for our students to view. Each YWPS student could choose at most three videos as their favourite. Results were announced this morning (11 Nov) at the annual Ying Wa Birthday Celebration Ceremony in our School Hall.
A total of 791 students cast their votes. The English Department's video received 530 votes, narrowly surpassing the Second Place video from the Chinese Department (524 votes) and the production from Music, PE & Visual Arts (330 votes).
All teachers from different departments work very hard year after year bringing joys to the school through the creative videos for our anniversary. It has been a unique Ying Wa experience and we are proud of this tradition.
While I enjoyed watching all the marvelous celebratory videos this year, I thank in particular my team of teachers for their creative, beautiful and hilarious input; I thank all the student participants for showing their love of the school; I thank our Teaching Assistant Ben for the very eye-catching effects in the video; and finally, I thank all our current students for supporting teachers' effort, regardless of which videos impress them the most.
